“Brisket sandwich with jalapeños and raw onion was delicious. The only thing I’d change is to slice the onion instead of chopping it cause the chopped onion fell out too easy. The smoked bologna sandwich was also very good. The sides were very large portions. The fried okra was really good also. The slaw was ok. I’d definitely go back.”

“First time visitor, found them on google. Went on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm. They were out of the Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes which would have been my go to sides, so I got yams and squash with meatloaf. Everything was delicious! 10/10. I wish they were in Memphis. They would definitely have more business out there because they can cook. The best yams and meatloaf Ive ever had from a restaurant. The meal was very filling as well. Anytime I pass this area this will be my go to spot.”

“We stopped in here while enjoying a beautiful Saturday and just riding through the area. We were drawn to it by the "old school" look and the number of cars in the parking lot. The place was full and you could smell the smoke rolling! The staff were friendly and helpful- I chose the Jumbo cheeseburger plate with double fries and my husband had the BBQ sandwich plate with baked beans and fried green beans. We got our drinks and found a booth to sit in. I went to wash my hands and the bathroom was small, but the cleanest, neatest one I've seen in a long time! After several minutes our good was ready- it was hot and obviously cooked to order. The Jumbo cheeseburger was huge and came just like I ordered it- the fries were crispy. The BBQ was good, slaw was on the side, baked beans had BBQ in them and were really good. Fried green beans were good and came with Ranch dressing. The place was busy and crowded and everyone was nice- great small town feel. We were very happy with our lunch and this is a hidden gem! I highly recommend you go and enjoy it!”

“The service was friendly. I have always loved the indoor fountain but I wish they would turn on again. The Chicken Adobelo and the Shredded Chicken Chimachunga were great. The refried beans were okay. The Spanish Rice needed salt and was cold. There was too much cilantro in the salsa. (Taste like soap to me). The guacamole was good”

“The food is awesome. When you want something light Penny Pantry is your place. I’ve never experienced any lacking in service. The chess squares are phenomenal. I’ve dined in and took food to go. Very inexpensive its definitely worth your ”

“This was our second time there and our first time to have food. It was very nice. First, the counter attendant, I think Becky was her name, was very pleasant and helpful. Next, the burgers were excellent. They were cooked just right and tasted great. Unlike so many places, when it came to the nachos they didn't skimp on the cheese or jalapeños. That was great. To me, however, the star of the show was the vanilla milk shake. It was rich, creamy and a perfect consistency. Yum yum. We'll be back for sure.”

“We ordered from them last year, and came back again this year. Every time we are in town, we will make sure we order some delicious protein shakes from them. I coach volleyball and my team absolutely loved it. Great costumer service and made my order of 18 shakes super easy. I had the Wedding Cake shake and I loved it!!!!!”
