“This seems like a nice, well-attended neighborhood bar with a 3 table card room. I was there on a Friday night, and there was 1 full table with a few players waiting for the 4 hours I played. The game was moderately aggressive and not soft by any means with good action and big pots. All the players were well behaved, and the dealers did their job well. I'm glad I went.“

“My husband and I came to eat here after a local recommended it. He had the bison meatloaf with a rich cream sauce, and I had the chicken marsala which was also amazing. The atmosphere is cozy like a lodge. We would definitely come here again.“

“We have been long time Mackenzie River fans. Our youngest daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac, thus forcing us to eat out less. When we received the email about the Hold the Gluten menu, we came right in! The gluten free alfredo was phenomenal! I had to ask Caila what brand the pasta was. And best of all, our daughter had zero issues/reactions. I can't say enough good things!“

“I had great food & experience, but I will focus on just one thing: this places serves beautifully made traditional ice cream sodas with REAL FRUIT syrup. These are very hard to find in this region. The staff are a bit confused when you order it, but there’s def instructions in the back. They were perfect, and really let the ice cream do the sweetening, so it starts mild, lightly sweet & transforms as the ice cream melts.
On the syrups, I’ve made them homemade, these can’t be purely that, the cost would be much higher, but I would guess they use both flavoring & chunks of fruit. Plenty of strawberries got caught in the straw (part of the experience!) and the 2nd night I bought two ice cream sodas for myself, and I did catch a raspberry seed in my partial, again that is GOOD. Freaking delicious, tbh I may never eat anywhere else in butte lol.“

“I've been going to this place since my birthday...I was 5. My grandfather Bill Fleming (Finnegan Electric) said to order anything...it was a lobster tail as big as a cauliflower! EVERY time I'm in Butte this is my go to. I tell people whenever we talk food about this place and the memories my family shared. I'm now 59.. Ruth's Chris has nothing on Lydia's! There were other supper clubs, in Butte at the time...just goes to show that only the strong survive...and if you're a Butte local, you know what that means!“
