“It was nearly 2pm and I hadn't eaten all day. Stopped in to Ennis Café where they were still serving breakfast. Man, that sausage, onion, mushroom, and cheese omelet hit the spot. And then I spied a pie in a case from afar. It looked like huckleberry but I wasn't sure. It was. I got a piece to go for the road. Glad I stopped in!“

“My wife and I were on a road trip through Montana and hit The Alley Bistro after it was recommended to us by a local resident. It's next door to the Ennis Fish Bowl.We shared a large artichoke vegetarian pizza (we had them add Italian sausage). The pizza was fantastic! We had quite an evening full of GREAT food and bowling fun!I highly recommend both the Alley Bistro and the Ennis Fish Bowl.Vegetarian options: They make an amazing vegetarian artichoke pizza. It also had other vegetable toppings. It was incredible. I had Italian sausage added to my half of the big pizza.“
“Great food, solid staff, I'm on a business trip and ate here more than anywhere in Ennis, even brought my wife and kid's out here and yes I paid to have them check this area out while I worked. Definitely recommend thus place for a good dinner and drink!“
“We stopped here on our way back from Virginia City to Island Pond. Boy did we enjoy our meals! The young man, Bryce, who served us was such a hard worker and juggled many people by himself! Our food was absolutely delicious. We finished everything on our plates. I had the buffalo pita - it was awesome! And get the crinkle fries they are so good. My Dad and son each got burgers and loved them. The prices also can’t be beat. We have been traveling around and it was such a nice break to not pay tourist prices!“
“I cannot say enough great things about Bruce and his wife’s efforts and care in their establishment. Elevated cuisine, creative menu options, great insight into their sourcing of ingredients and efforts in preparation. I hope to visit Tavern 287 two-hundred eighty-seven more times and I live clear across the country. If you are vegan or vegetarian call ahead and Bruce and the chef can suggest options. Love this place! Keep up the amazing work. PS- Peep the dessert and order entrees accordingly. They’re amazing.“
