“We stumbled into Fireside bases on a friend's recommendation. Wow are we glad. the food was simply amazing. we had Carmel apple pancakes (to die for!), biscuits and sausage gravy, and a chorizo omelet. Tracy was our server and she was incredibly friendly! we couldnt have asked for a better experience. Fireside will be a must do every time we come to Hendersonville!“

“Mustang Cafe is a great place. They cook their chicken tenders with love and also serve them with love. Love is the important ingredient! The servers took their time to get to know me as a regular and know what I want right when I walk in now.“

“I live down the road from this Waffle House, so I've been walking down can I have some early morning coffee and sometimes a breakfast.The staff is always welcoming, and friendly!Coffee is good, not spectacular, but palatable.I keep going back so that ought to tell ya somethin', right?“

“We stopped into Waffle House on our way out of town. Everyone was waiting patiently to be seated or order take out. During a time where we had no water, electricity or communication seeing their smiles and quick service allowed for us to have a nice meal. Nina was kind, positive and made sure we had everything we could possible need. Her nephew was hard at work making the hash browns. It made our day and we will always remember this.“

“Don't have a lot of negative things to say. Food is great 90% of the time. Servers are attentive, the place is never very full (though I've never been at peak hours.) For a chain like IHOP I don't think I could ask for better. Also a lot cleaner than most other IHOPs I've been to.“

“A good coffee shop. Enjoyed the coffee & a goodie. They say bread, but its not anything special that way. The bathrooms rooms & the interior is clean. Plenty of parking. Roomy interior with enough room for private conversation. The prices are typical.“

“This is by-far the BEST Waffle House I have ever visited. The server, Marq, was so wonderful, and he definitely needs a raise!! The food was excellent, and all the staff were so friendly and kind. The restaurant was clean, and all precautions, per the pandemic, were being taken for the safety of customers and employees. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone desiring a clean, family- friendly dining experience!!!“

“Stopped in for a quick bite on our way home to Pennsylvania. It was decent service, quick ordering. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. The price you can’t beat either… $16 for 2 people, plus a $4 tip. Very reasonable. Fresh food as well!“

“It was a perfect start to my morning. I was quickly served but never overcrowded. Their little breakfast bar allowed me to keep an eye on my motorcycle while I enjoyed a hot breakfast with my much needed coffee. After getting pampered at this location I felt ready to tackle my long ride home.“

“The chicken biscuit with gravy was one of the better I've had in Asheville. The country fried steak was a bit tough. Everything else was quite good.
Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian dishes for those who eat eggs. No plant-based alternatives offered.“

We have several Waffle Houses in our area. But for unknown reasons, we drive past them to get to this one.
I have eaten in Waffle Houses, all over the southeastern United States since the 1960s. Slight differences from time-to-time but food and service is always good. The atmosphere is always 'Waffle House.'
2024 Oct 24.
In between chores today. My wife and I stopped for lunch at Waffle House, 371 Long Shoals Rd, Arden NC.
While our food was being prepared, an employee was busy doing restaurant 'chores' near our table.
My wife asked him if he fared okay during the hurricane (a most often asked question here in the mountains of western North Carolina).
"I lived in a camper. It and my pickup truck got washed away. Me and my dog made it out okay."
"We are now living in a shelter. They look after my dog while I work."
"I have had to start over before. I can do it again."
Tough situation for this young man, but I like his 'can do' attitude and outlook on life.“
