“Small and quaint; clean and calm old school place, a house turned into a Tavern. The staff was friendly. We did not eat so cannot rate the food but what food was prepared smelled delicious, we had a soda from a can.
We were able to play pool without interruptions. The pool table is coin operated.“

“Fantastic meal last night at Jargon! The ginger carrot 🥕 soup was incredible. We paired it with Asparagus and risotto. The strawberry dessert was amazing and the after dinner drinks with espresso beans were perfection.“

“We were on our way through Asheville and found this little gem after our first choice was closed. Do glad we did. \n\nThey were quite full/busy but they fit us in and were very kind and gracious about it. \n\nThe entire experience was special. About four different staff members checked on us throughout our evening. \n\nTheir knowledge of the menu was incredible, and especially their very extensive wine list. \n\nWe started with their “Darling” bread and butter. Absolutely amazing. I would have been happy with just that. \n\nTheir offerings of different locally grown greens was amazing. \n\nWe had the lamb kebabs and rabbit pasta for our main. Our outstanding sever recommended two incredible wines to pair. \n\nAn incredible experience from start to finish.“

“What a great place to celebrate our birthdays. Two from KY and two from Augusta GA to enjoy celebrating all four of us having birthdays. Stuart who waited on us was EXCELLENT. We asked him about the damage to Asheville and we could hear it in his voice how hurt he was because others suffered so much. He was very gracious that we chose Asheville to celebrate our birthdays. I had the best shrimp and grits ever and I'm 73. Every meal the fried oysters, salads, Reuben Sandwich there is no negative experience. I hesitated to order the banana pudding but was intrigued by the description. So glad I did, it was so different than what I've ever had but the BEST I've ever had. Thank you to everyone working that day on 1/22 that wished us Happy Birthdays and made this such a wonderful memory for all 4 of us. Very welcoming, great personalities but above all GREAT FOOD.“

If you love beer or cocktails and you need an early dinner, this is a great happy hour. You can get a huge chicken sandwich that tastes high quality for $9 or a delicious burger for $12. Drinks range from $3 - $10. They have plenty of cocktail and beer options during the happy hour as well. The only thing I wish they did was a red and white house wine with the happy hour menu as well. Other than that this is perfect for people who want a fancy delicious experience without the high price tag.

“The Sierra Nevada brewery is awesome! First off the facility is absolutely fantastic. It’s large but the building and the entire campus are immaculately clean & well kept. It still looks brand new. The tour itself was excellent providing great historical content & insight into their state of the art current operations. Following up the tour with a visit to the Taproom restaurant is a must. The food is phenomenal & the service is top notch. Finally, it was so enjoyable to finish the day with a beer on the patio. I give the Sierra Nevada brewery tour & Taproom my highest recommendation. Can’t wait to take other friends for a visit.“

“Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Lovely ambience in the space. It feels like the kitchen really cares about the food it brings out. One thing I particularly liked was how well all the dishes were seasoned. A bit of heat here, a bit of spice there, and a dash of sweet when needed. And speaking of sweet, the lemon curd cheesecake is a wonder. I love it when the cheesecake part of the cheesecake isn't oversweet. The lemon curd gives a sweet and tart compliment to the creaminess of the dairy in the dish. It's dangerous, I tell you! We'll be back for more.“

“Our office Christmas Party was made complete by lunch from Griff’s Kitchen & Bar! As always, the food was excellent and the service was great! Whether it’s for a special occasion, or you just want a great meal… or maybe you’re too tired to cook and want to grab takeout… Griff’s Kitchen & Bar is a great choice!“

“December 30th, 2025: We had the most nice experience, and it was all thanks to our server! A group of 7 of us went out for very late lunch lunch, but it became dinner, and experience is above, and beyond to make sure our night was perfect. The staff was so kind, respectful, and attentive, checking on us frequently and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was fantastic—but what truly made the evening unforgettable was staff. The place brought such positive energy and made our entire group feel so well cared for. If I could rate 4+ stars, I would. We had 2 Cuban Sandwiches, comes with chips, we also shared a Mac&Cheese between my wife, and me; Our two daughters shared 1 pot roast, a brisket with mac&cheese; our grand son had the ribeye steak, my son in law had a steak sandwich, my granddaughter had chicken tenders with french fries! “Michael was our server and he was truly amazing!! The atmosphere was so cozy and romantic and the service was immaculate! My husband and I had never experienced a dining experience like this. The hostesses were so friendly and kind, all the waiting staff were accommodating, and Michael worked so hard to make sure we had the best possible experience. The food was unlike any we had tried before and was fresh. It came out quickly and tasted like it was very well prepared by highly trained chefs. We absolutely will be returning in the future and recommend it to all that can make it.“

“This local group of restaurants has been serving really good food with great service and a comfortable atmosphere since 2001. Chicken and waffles are there, of course, but loads of other stuff, including spinach/potato cakes with tomato gravy, one of my favorites. Highly recommended.“
