“one of our party ordered the Sirloin and commented that it might have been the best he's tasted. one of us had the Apricot Chicken that was tender and flavorful. another one of our party had a Wedge and Red Pepper bisque and also commented it was delicious. The service was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.“
“What was unique about Madison's was the fact that items that would ordinarily seem very simple on a menu are taken to the next level. For example, when I was there they had a steak wrap as a special. It was extremely flavorful and tender. My wife had chicken salad on a croissant, or nearly. This seems like the kind of thing you could get in the grocery store. However, it was clearly made using a unique recipe and it couldn't have been higher quality. My advice would be, if items on the menu seem commonplace, do not take them at face value.“
“Luke was our server at last night's delicious dining experience. He was seemingly playing host, runner and server so it did take time for our orders to be taken. We arrived shortly after 5 so had to enjoy appetizers and drinks for the hour until the kitchen opened at 6. Enjoyed probably the best homemade pecan pie I've ever had, with vanilla bean ice cream and a trout dip with crackers while we played cards with our daughter and sipped on tasty cocktails. Jason, the manager was welcoming and incredibly hospitable and took time to visit with several tables, making eye contact, engaging with patrons and making everyone feel at home. Stellar management because of the efficiency and running the front-of-house like a well oiled machine. Hummingbird lounge is a stellar setting complete with comfort, ambience and gives the feeling of a speakeasy and rustic upscale cabin. Comfy chairs and couches are strewn throughout with interesting artwork and artifacts as the fireplace crackled and the Christmas tree lights flickered. The food was topnotch and worth the high price tags ranging from $32-56 per entree. Luke was spread thin so we didn't see him as often as we would've liked, but the overall experience at Hummingbird lounge is decadent. Thank you Jason!“
“The 4118 Burger was good, Reuben Sandwich was good, but bread was grilled a bit too long, so it was dry and brittle. The charcuterie board was good as well as avocado salad. Great service. Patty Melt was good, too, but it's the same issue as Reuben with the bread.“
“Nice location, great restaurant and overall renovation but, I couldn’t get past the musty smell in the room. We had to keep the door and windows on the balcony open at all times, which was fine because the weather was so nice. But, if you closed all the doors, the smell was not pleasant.“
“Over-priced but good food. It was a 30 min wait to get seated. We had a soup, spring rolls and the Risotto shrimp fritters. 16$ for three fritters that didn’t taste of any shrimp is ridiculous! The soup was really good though. Having mentioned on the menu that they charge 4$ for sharing food feels like nickel and dime-ing and a super cheap thing to do.“
“Food was delicious, especially the roasted Brussels sprouts. Small but good beer and wine selection. Larger parties will wait a LONG time during peak hours. I sat at the “Sky Box” and loved watching the street and people. Waitress checked on me once, but she was really nice and helpful.“
“Cashiers offers a number of good restaurants, though some may be closed in the off season. If you don't want to drive to Brevard Cashiers has options. The Ugly Dog pub is a great choice. Good food served fast. The place was not crowded in March. The manager made the rounds to check on us. My wife needed gluten free. They don't have GF bread ? but they offered to give her the sandwich on the plate, no bun. They have a full bar with two big screen TV's over the bar. If you are in the area and don't want a chain restaurant, it's a good option.“
“What a pleasure to dine there again after all these years! Ee were made to feel welcome and the food was delicious! I had the White Snapper special and it was wonderful. We will be back next summer when we can eat out back close to the lake...“
