“Luke was our server at last night's delicious dining experience. He was seemingly playing host, runner and server so it did take time for our orders to be taken. We arrived shortly after 5 so had to enjoy appetizers and drinks for the hour until the kitchen opened at 6. Enjoyed probably the best homemade pecan pie I've ever had, with vanilla bean ice cream and a trout dip with crackers while we played cards with our daughter and sipped on tasty cocktails. Jason, the manager was welcoming and incredibly hospitable and took time to visit with several tables, making eye contact, engaging with patrons and making everyone feel at home. Stellar management because of the efficiency and running the front-of-house like a well oiled machine. Hummingbird lounge is a stellar setting complete with comfort, ambience and gives the feeling of a speakeasy and rustic upscale cabin. Comfy chairs and couches are strewn throughout with interesting artwork and artifacts as the fireplace crackled and the Christmas tree lights flickered. The food was topnotch and worth the high price tags ranging from $32-56 per entree. Luke was spread thin so we didn't see him as often as we would've liked, but the overall experience at Hummingbird lounge is decadent. Thank you Jason!“
“The 4118 Burger was good, Reuben Sandwich was good, but bread was grilled a bit too long, so it was dry and brittle. The charcuterie board was good as well as avocado salad. Great service. Patty Melt was good, too, but it's the same issue as Reuben with the bread.“
“Atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, the waiters were very fast and excellent. As soon as you sit down they hand you fresh hot chips and a very sweet and tangy salsa (which was amazing) and they then gave me a bowl of guacamole which was just as good. I Ordered a chimichanga and flan later after, and let me tell you. The chimichanga tasted as if they cooked everything individually then added it all together to make a fresh and mouthwatering beast of a chimichanga. Then flan afterwards was taken out of a fridge from the front and brought to the back and not long after they brought it out and looked as of it was homemade. The first to the last bite of the flan was absolutely fantastic and it really shows how much they care about the consumers experience. Highly recommend coming here as much as you can. “Best smash burger around, staff is friendly and jovial, atmosphere is great for lunch, early or late dinner. From 4:30-6 the parking lot and store are crazy packed from all the workers stopping so it's chaotic but otherwise a great spot!Dietary restrictions: They always cater to my dietary issues!“
“The restaurant location is convenient with plenty of parking. The indoor and outdoor dining spaces are nothing spectacular but they're clean. The menu was a little eccentric but overall it was good. The service was also good but they could definitely use a little more help. Definitely try the truffle fries. We'd eat here again.“

“Sat on the patio and had a wood fired margarita pizza with pepperoni and a glass of white wine. The atmosphere was high glass inside and out and the service was good. This is part of a complex of three restaurants, hotel and spa. We only had time for lunch but would like to have toured the rest. Highly recommended when you’re in Highlands, NC.“
