“I was looking forward to attending dinner here at Calhoun Corners restaurant and we had a great meal, great atmosphere and excellent service. My wife had come here several times when she went to Clemson, but this was before the fire in 1997. We continue to hear great reviews about this restaurant, so we were excited to eat here.
The restaurant offers a large selection of appetizers, prime rib, fresh cut beef, seafood, fish and poultry. The wine list is top notch. Known for their prime rib and filet, we were excited to try them. We made a reservation (highly recommended especially on game weekends) for when they opened, and were seated immediately. Our waitress was Alyse and she was excellent. Our son ordered the prime rib, and it was cooked to perfection. Okay that’s a stretch. He absolutely loves it rare, so for him it was perfection and the way it should be served! We had the filet with some sides, and it did not disappoint. To finish it off I, had the brownie sundae. Delicious! We also had a nice bottle of wine to go with our delicious steaks.
The atmosphere is cozy and charming. Great for a romantic date, special occasion or business dinner. There is a bar as well.
Next up is their other restaurant called Pixie & Bill’s. If this was any indication, it will be an awesome meal.“

“Always a nice meal here. Our server Hali was very attentive and helpful. We skipped apps, and our salads were fresh and tasty. My 7oz filet was cooked perfectly (blue, the way I like it, and few restaurants get it right). The risotto was creamy and the broccoli rabe was nicely seasoned and not over cooked. The Cab Franc paired perfectly with my entree. My partner got the swordfish that was also perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The chips and guacamole really didn’t add anything to the dish, however, but it was fine. The dry Riesling was a nice pairing with this. We were seated not too far from the bar area. We forgot about Jazz on the Ally Thursday nights so it was packed and the bar area started to become very loud. Unfortunately there are quite a few privileged people in this area that feel being publicly drunk and obnoxiously loud is acceptable, even in a nicer restaurant. This isn’t the restaurants’ fault but it certainly impacts the quality of the atmosphere. Even Hali offered us a free dessert to make up for the interruption it caused, but we paid for our desserts anyway. We did suggest that there be automatic sliding doors fitted so that the noise could be contained in the bar area leaving the diners to enjoy their meals. Our desserts were also delightful. We had the banana brûlée and strawberry brûlée. Overall it was a very nice meal with very good service (which is hard to come by in this area).“

“The atmosphere was excellent, the food was great and the portions were large. Prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately our young server was more interested in talking with her fellow servers near the bar than noticing our attempts to get her attention for things we needed. But she was nice when she showed up.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Customer Service
Such a wonderful first visit! The hostess was so sweet and welcoming, and our server Erica truly made the night special. She went the extra mile to make sure my daughter’s shellfish allergy was taken seriously and that her food was prepared safely with no worries of cross-contamination. That kind of care means everything to a parent.
Erica’s warm smile, patience, and genuine kindness stood out the entire time. While the food temperature wasn’t exactly to my preference, I deeply appreciate the cooks for handling my daughter’s meal with care and compassion. We will absolutely be back — Erica alone is worth the return!“

“As a wife of an engineer in the Nuclear Power industry I know first hand what it's like to live in a hotel for months on end. Many of his crew works night shift and Jim has been there himself. You get off work at 4 or 5 am and nothing is open. You can't shut your stomach off so you're left with gas station or vending machine food. Very small refrigerators in the hotel rooms so you can't stock up on much other than some deli meat and cheese. Yesterday while visiting my husband on the road, we stopped at one of our favorite places in Seneca The Spot on the Alley. They were closed, or so we thought. Just as we turned to walk away from the locked door a man came and unlocked it. He let us in and explained they were just finishing up a few renovations. He kept apologizing and if we didn't mind them cleaning up they could serve us shortly. He said they were running odd hours due to the outage and decided to get a few things done in between the busy hours. I told him we just wanted to get an appetizer as we already had dinner plans but we were hungry and it would be a few hours before we were able to eat. He served us a big bowl of queso and fresh chips. I ordered a drink from the bar and we sat and talked quietly watching them work to get things put away. So the man came back and handed us a menu and invited us to come back the next morning. Come to find out they open early for the outage workers. The Spot on the Alley opens at 5 am during outage season for night shift to be able to get something hot to eat after a long night of hardwork. I just have to mention how nice I think it is. The man did tell me he only purchased The Spot on the Alley a few months prior. We have so much respect for these little towns who host hundreds of Plant workers a few months out of the year. Not to many businesses take into account the shifts these men and women work and their sacrifices and the odd shifts often times put their good health into question. So thank you for opening early for night shift. Don't know who will see it but here's the menu.“
