New American Restaurants near Gatlinburg, TN

“Do you like your griddle cakes about 4 inches tall??? Then this is the place for you. Tons of pancake spots in Gatlinburg, this one is exceptional. We had the griddle cake, the waffle, the candied apples and corned beef hash. I’m not sure I knew what a griddle cake was, but it’s basically like a pancake and some corn bread started a family together. Delicious! Fat and fluffy and savory and buttery. The candied apples were sweet and dripping with sugary butter and were so heavenly on the griddle cakes. There’s just too many options! Candied apples, syrup, whipped butter. The waffle was just as good the griddle cake, golden brown and crispy. And a little savory compliment to all of it was the corned beef hash, it was fresh and not greasy and you could taste the potatoes and onion and beef individually. The service was prompt and friendly, the atmosphere is a fun old mountain log cabin, and the music is great. Real mountain strings with heart and soul, not like some of the faux nouveau mainstream country crap they play in the tourist spots all over Gatlinburg. One of the great breakfasts of my life on one of the great vacations of my life in the Great Smoky Mountains. If you need delicious breakfast in this neck of the woods this is the spot.“

“The Heirloom Room superseded all of our expectations. Everything we ordered, every dish we tried seemed to raise the bar for future dining experiences. Each dish was familiar but different than I have ever had but with a truly flavorful twist. Highly recommend if in Gatlinburg area!“

“All the food was delicious. The kids loved the experience. I chose applesauce as their side and the portion was underwhelming, but the quality of the main courses was excellent. The game card for the kids was a nice touch. The quality and variety of the games in the arcade was so fun and entertaining. As an OT and mom I appreciate they have a nursing room and calming room for overstimulated kids (or adults!). Great addition to Pigeon Forge!“
