I love brunch, lunch and dinner there! It’s always my go-to!“

Wife and I love coming here for certain occasions, great way to celebrate, and we're always blown away by our dining experience. Always greeted by the awesome team upon entry and Adam, the GM, always comes to welcome us back! We've always had phenomenal service and last night was no different. Stephen was an absolute rockstar, I had him pick my cocktail based on flavor profiles and he and the bartender absolutely nailed it! We love doing multiple small plates, mixing in an entrée periodically, and it's always an incredible experience! Pro tip, wear a red dress and a red sequins jacket for date night = best seat in the house. Looking forward to the next occasion, cheers.“

“So excited to have a restaurant of this caliber.just a couple miles from the house out here in West Knoxville. Highly recommend the fish dip, the peach blue cheese salad, and the grilled trout is absolutely stunning. They have an array of specialty drinks that are incredible and the staff is always professional and friendly and attentive. And if you haven't been for brunch on Sunday mornings, absolutely exquisite. I haven't found anything even remotely like this within a hundred miles of where I live.“

“My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary there. Dominic took exceptional care of us! He was professional, friendly, and was terrific at anticipating our needs. The hostesses were so sweet too. One of them gave us a handmade Happy Anniversary card that was from the staff that was so cute. I really appreciated that gesture. We both had steak. I had the steamed broccoli and corn creme brulee. He had the onion rings. All of our food was amazing and delicious! We were so happy to have received the Heath Bar dessert w homemade ice cream on the House! The inside is beautiful too. “Absolutely amazing experience. We visit the area often as my parents live nearby. This was one of the best meals we’ve had! Michael, our server was fantastic. Attentive but not overbearing. We enjoyed some appetizers (Brussels) and the artichoke dip. We then split the schnitzel. Everything was seriously perfection. Let’s not even talk about the warm crusty bread with whipped sweet butter. Could have eaten just that and been completely satisfied! Then our waiter asked if we wanted desert. We were so full but had to at least look. Could not pass up the crème brûlée chocolate cheesecake. oh-emm-geeee! Also the drinks we enjoyed—slushy concord colado and the cold fashioned. They were spectacular! We will be back before we head home and will be dreaming of this place until our next visit! (Be sure to check out their happy hour specials! We came early on a weekday and it was not crowded but I imagine it would be crowded later or on weekends).“

“I tried this restaurant simply because it was close to my work. It was so good that I wasn't even mad when I got back to the office and had received grilled chicken, mixed veggies, and a spinach salad instead of the salmon, Brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes that I ordered. I've eaten there twice since then.. everything I've had had been fresh and delicious! Can't wait to take my family soon!“

“The food, wine, and cocktails are great. But the best thing about The Marlowe is the atmosphere. It's cozy but elegant with brick walls and wooden ceilings. It just exudes warmth and comfort. Staff is friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient.“

“Walked in and didn’t smell smoke until I was almost seated at the bar. I had already made eye contact with the bartender so it was too late to back out. Not a fan of cigarette smoke at all but I had an old fashioned with a smoked cherry which I had never had before and was delightful. Bartender was cool and knew his business but on a personal level I can’t eat food in a place that allows smoking.“

“My wife and I were in Knoxville for a conference, and we ate at the Downtown location for dinner on Friday, then again for brunch on Sunday. Both times were terrific! On Friday, we shared the crab cake hushpuppies and beet salad for appetizers, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The crab cakes were like biting into the 8th wonder of the world--Wow! For the entrée, we had the filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Our server was an absolute delight! For brunch, we had the Appalachian shrimp & grits which had such a wonderfully rustic/earthy flavor, and the butcher's omelet which was so fluffy, fresh, and flavorful. The side of fruit could not have been any fresher! The thing that drove us back to the restaurant 'might' have been the Blueberry Basil Margarita. The non-alcoholic version was just as good if not better than the alcoholic version! The blueberry puree was truly the star. We will be sure to visit the next time we're in Knoxville!“
