“Stock & Barrel had about a 30 minute wait for our party of 3 at 6pm on a Wednesday. Once we sat down and tasted the food, we realized why this Knoxville gem was so popular. We started off with the Opa!, which is a uniquely grilled hunk of feta covered in honey. What a fabulous tasty appetizer this was. Warm and crispy feta is something we've never had before and the honey added such a sweet touch. I tried to save a piece for after the meal, but my wife and I couldn't stop and finished the whole thing before the real food arrived. For my meal, I got the tomato salad with a salmon patty on top. It's a plate loaded with tomatoes soaked in balsamic flavor. Absolutely delicious and fresh. And the salmon patty was crispy on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside, with fresh salmon taste. I don't have salmon patties/burgers often, but this was the best one I've ever had.For a Wednesday night, service was kinda slow, but it was awfully crowded. We see that as a good thing for a local restaurant to be so busy mid week. But just go in expecting to wait a bit, both for a table and for your order to be taken and delicious food to be delivered. For such a huge bar, I was disappointed in the beer choices. I was given 3 to choose from on tap. But my wife was impressed with the bourbon and whiskey selections. And she absolutely loved the look of the bar, saying she wants to install something similar at home. We'll see about that.If you are looking for a hearty meal in a cool atmosphere in downtown Knoxville and you have a bit of time, Stock & Barrel is definitely a recommended choice.Vegetarian options: Our 12 year old pescatarian did just fine, but there weren't a lot of choices.Parking: The garage next door was very full, we ended up on the top floor. But because of the slow service, we ended up leaving after 8 which meant we didn't have to pay for the garage!“
“The not so good: although the waiter took care of our table, he was very rushed and it was even difficult to understand him, so we even preferred not to ask him certain things about the menu since he seemed very rushed. The food was actually delicious in general, but it was nothing out of this world, no new or surprising flavor. I wouldn't order the "Falafel" dish again, mainly because it was very dry.The good: the signature drinks are definitely the strong point of this restaurant, original and with new flavors. The atmosphere: very good atmosphere to have a good evening“
“Service at 71 South was excellent, but the food could be better especially for vegan guests. The cauliflower steak had a charred outside, yet the inside was undercooked and hard, with minimal steak sauce. Vegan options rely on seasoning, and while I appreciate the offerings, I suggest boiling, searing the cauliflower or baking until soft, and enhancing it with plenty of seasoning and sauce. I'd consider returning for that improved preparation or additional vegan options. We want a good experience too! Thank you.“
“530 has a great environment that allows you to relax and have conversation without the loud noise. Comfortable with great service. Aidan made sure we had what we needed in timely fashion without interrupting our night… Our bartender, Kenzie was spot on with our cocktails.“
“We loved this place ! We decided to go there for a quick bite & drink before an event and it did not disappoint! Beer was great and food was on point . We sat down at the bar , service was quick and chef’s were very attentive. I also would like to mention the biodegradable silverware and plates they serve their food in! Good choice ?? Thank you ! We will visit you guys soon?“
“1st time there was for St Patrick's Day Eve party. Can't say enough good things about the place. Owners are both super nice and friendly as are the bartenders. Drinks we're awesome and expertly made. Highly recommend going here if you get the chance. We will be back!Tip; Try the old-fashioned.“
“I’ve come here a few times and every single time I’ve been treated great. When I go I look forward to getting to catch up with everyone. Prince, Brandon, Sherry, and Kristina do a great job and always make us feel welcomed. With that being said, there’s something special about the servers and bartenders in this restaurant. I’ll be back soon!“
“Visited the vault while on Vacation in Knoxville. Our hotel was close so we walked, but there is metered street parking, just leave some extra time to find a spot. Attire - Elevated casual. Once you enter Vida go downstairs to enter The Vault. Strongly recommend you make reservations and sit at the bar, not at the tables. Sitting at the bar counter allowed us to view all the action, and service was quicker since we ordered from the bartender. The drinks were the best of any we had in Knoxville (We also went to the Peter Kern Library and Oliver Royale and I would come back to the Vault). Great atmosphere, service and outstanding flavors for cocktails. Definitely will go back when I am in Knoxville again.“
“I'm traveling around Knoxville looking for a good bowl of gumbo. My backup plan is to look for a delicious plate of shrimp and grits. This is the reason for my first visit to this restaurant.OMG ?! I have found gold with this restaurant. They served me the best plate of shrimp and grits I have eaten in a long time! It was a huge serving with lots of jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. The creole sauce was just spicy enough to make it perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys the Charleston style shrimp and grits! I will definitely be returning!“
“I've been twice now. Had the sweet heat chicken and waffles with strawberries. It was delicious. Service was good. You can sit outside, which we did and that was fun. The prices are a little higher than, say, cracker barrel, but absolutely worth every penny!“
“This place is really fun, and it's a great place to get some cocktails in Knoxville. I don't get the strongest tropical island vibe from the bar, but it is very nice, and the cocktails didn't disappoint. The $7 happy hour cocktails were a bargain. Our bartender was kind and attentive. We will return to the Tern Club.“
“I would highly recommend this restaurant! Our server Matt was in training and did a superb job. He answered all of our questions, was very professional and personable. We enjoyed two of the chef's specialties, the beef tenderloin medallions and the Arroz con camarones. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The Tenderloins were very generous portion. The shrimp were tender and sweet. Next visit we will plan on spending a little more time enjoying the Speakeasy on the lower level.“
“If you want excellent food and service ,this place is hands down the best . The place is beautiful n nice and clean inside too . Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Guy in charge there is a super nice guy n he cares about his customers experience ,not alot in town do . I'm going to miss this place when we move .“
“An amazing tasting experience. We had a great time with Ron who was very knowledgeable and eager to share all there is about the spirits. The tasting was allencompassing and we found the variety of spirits very enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone in Knoxville to come and do a tasting/tour.“
“The atmosphere is Cataleya Cantina is amazing! Our server was also very accommodating, and the food was great. My brunch burrito bowl was good, but the food my friends got was better.Parking: PlentyKid-friendliness: As a kid i found plenty of options.“
“This was our first time visiting STOR and we were very impressed! We made a reservation 10 minutes ahead of time, for a Friday night this was shocking, when we arrived we were sat immediately. Ordered the bao sliders which we were not impressed with and the manager was kind enough to refund. We ordered the filet with goat cheese ravioli which was AHmazing and the center cut filet with crispy potatoes which was also delicious. Definitely will return.“
“this was a very fun and unexpected find, stumbled upon it, and glad we did. the decor is lively, the staff is charming and the food was delicious. really enjoyed the pesto gnocchi...the pesto was rich and a bit spicy, nice touch with the roasted pignoli. also tried the pear ginger cocktail and it was refreshing as advertised. thia is a fun place I'll seek out again if i drive through knoxville again one day.Vegetarian options: the kitchen was kind enough to make mine without meat, there were other options, but how can one resist gnocchi?“
“If you're looking to step back in time but keep modern service standards, this is the place! You'll find delightful decor, delicious drinks, and tasty bar treats (like a shockingly well-priced cheese board). While the "Rusty Nail" was more of a Scotch Old Fashioned, it was still a solid offering.“
“This is a great bar! I had the Watermelon Sugar High, which, frankly, is everything you could ever want in a cocktail. The service was fantastic and the bartenders friendly, and there's plenty of room for friends to gather in the cozy spaces that look out across the best parts of the Old City. Every drink was delicious and paired perfectly with the Good Golly we brought with us (iykyk). Five stars. Ten stars! A hundred stars!“
“Lunch party of four on Saturday, greeted at door and seated immediately. Our wait staff was Emily. She met us at the table and immediately brought water and took drink orders. Mixed drinks came quickly and were well done. Food also came soon after ordering. We ate steak tarta, brisket and hamburger burrito’s, and vegetarian quesadilla. All meals were delicious. The burritos were very large. We were only able to eat one half of each. Emily continued to provide friendly and attentive service through the entire meal. We were in the back room and enjoyed the entire experience.“
“I had a superb experience this weekend. The Pad Ke Mao was seasoned perfectly, just enough spice (but beware if you have a mild palate!), tender noodles. Our server was friendly and helped us through the menu. Looking forward to the next time already.“
“First visit last night.Great little bar that has an incredible back yard with a tiki bar and stage with a projector screen.Sat by the fire and watched the UT game.Chatted with the owner for a good while. Great guy, Military Vet?Had such a great time. Everyone was super friendly. Will be back many times“
“My wife and I noticed this restaurant as we were driving up the interstate and decided to give it a try. We are glad we did because this is one to add to the trip list. The service was prompt to status and take our drink and appetizer order. The menu has so many options with great pictures it's hard to decide which one you want. The food was so flavorful and the portions were so large we needed three togo boxes. We also ordered the panchos did and the cheese was not watered down like most places and also had a ton of beef in it. The restaurant was very clean and all the staff was very kind. I would and will be eating here again.“
“This place is a nice, refreshing establishment to stop into, especially in the summer, whether you're between bars or restaurants or you're looking for something to mix it up between bars. The service is exceptional and the owner is extremely friendly and personable! There are tons of flavors and not only can you sample before you commit, but they can mix multiple flavors to your taste as well. The place is exceptionally clean and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. Would recommend highly!“
“Service was good. The chicken salad sandwich was generally sized and pretty good. Fries were the battered kind and very crispy. Prices were quite decent for a hotel bar/ restaurant. Lobby right outside is a big and convenient place to wait or relax in for a bit. Lots of couches, some tables, and plenty of outlets“
“Don’t pass up on this absolute Knoxville institution. From the crazy amount of band and brewery insignia to the book cases of vinyl, it takes a minute to fully appreciate the fantastic decor. They have struck a chord with amazing food and drink selection. Kudos to the management and staff.Make this your next stop to grab some food, a drink, and a band!“
“We stopped in to celebrate my bestie and make up for lost time as both mine, and my husbands birthdays had passed. We all got an Unmerry Birthday shot. It was so good. The energy and photo opportunities make this place so special and unique. They have a little store across from the bar and it's filled with all kinds of neat quirky items.“
“The bartender was pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable! He served my partner and I several beers to taste. He really went above and beyond! If this gentleman ever gets to Massachusetts, he should let me know as he is welcomed to stop in to Start Line Brewery in Hopkinton. A great experience today!“
“The Tavern offers tapas as well as salads, burgers and sandwiches .We tried the White/Navy Bean and Truffle Soup of the Day and it was quite good. It was served with a savory crostini which nicely complemented it.My Partner had the Chicken Salad sandwich and Honey-Roasted Vegetables. I tried the Whiskey Bacon Burger with Fries. They use Double Gloucester Cheddar in several of their dishes. For the non-cheese aficionados, Double Gloucester Cheddar is made from full-fat cream/milk (Single Gloucester is made with skim milk) and a Double Gloucester wheel is twice the height of a Single Gloucester wheel. It is also rumored to be made from two distinct milkings. The Whiskey Bacon Burger was prepared with a Bacon Jam, which nicely incorporated the whiskey flavor in the background; the bacon was incorporated into the burger which always gives a delightful flavor throughout the burger. The Chicken Salad was likewise unique in its ingredients and was nicely balanced. The Honey-Roasted Vegetables however, were exquisite. Carrots, Broccolini, Green Beans, with White and Red New Potatoes sautéed and infused with honey and crumbled bacon. These are a favorite of both clients and staff.Overall, a most excellent Lunch. The tapas on the Lunch and Dinner Menu, are calling out to be chosen!“
“I was searching for an Asian restaurant and found this fusion restaurant. I wasn't too hungry, so I only ordered a mushroom soup and vegetable tempura. Both are excellent!! I also ordered a Groundbreaking cocktail; although they forgot about this order, they immediately made it up for another expresso martini on-house! The service was attentive, though they seemed busy. Overall, this is a great place, and I'd be happy to be back!“
“Knox box is well named as the concept is essentially a giant private karaoke box with all your new friends. I love that there is no designated spot or stage to perform! You sing where you want to. Walk around, dance in the middle, hide in the corner, sing sitting at the bar, you do you and I think that's great! I wish my favorite karaoke spot in Nashville did this. Plenty of TVs all around for the lyrics. The vibe is LGBTQ+ friendly. The crowd has a good energy. The bartenders were great and they sing too! Decent selection of beer and liquor. Prices are cheap as well. Lots of special events including drag karaoke. The queue to sing does fill up quick so get songs in early. If I have one suggestion it may be to limit or delay some repeat singers until everyone gets a chance. We went multiple times in a week and loved every visit. Great bar and a new favorite spot in Knoxville“
“One of our faves when in town. Attentive and knowledgeable server answered our questions about the menu and recommended a wonderful wine to go with our dinner selections. We ate a beef stroganoff special, curried cauliflower risotto and filet. All were wonderful. We were very happy that we saved room for dessert and ordered the caramel cake, key lime pie and Basque cheesecake. Definitely recommend! Next time will start with the charcuterie, which sounded very interesting but would not have allowed us to have room for the wonderful desserts.“
“I adore this place and the owner Simon! He's so knowledgeable about liquors, craft beers and pretty much all aspects of life :) Such an intriguing and helpful guy. Love the atmosphere, and I even practiced the piano there once (terribly) and he didn't flinch. There was a band that played a week ago and they were talent. I mean pure talent and vibe. Love all about this place!“
“I started visiting Firebird's for their meat loaf and they took that off the menu, so I started ordering the Cilantro Chicken and now it's part of a 3-course meal, and I don't need that much food, so last night was a very good burger. I've been very critical of the service at this Firebird's over the years, but we had Jaycie last night and she did an excellent job. One of the mangers even stopped by our table and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. My wife loves their Salmon salad, and she said it was good as always. With the menu changes, I'm not sure how many visits to Firebird's is in our future. I might try one of the pasta dishes.“
“My family and I have been here a few times and really love their food . We went last night for my daughters birthday and had a really wonderful dinner and the service was so wonderful I wanted to write a review to express my appreciation. I can not remember our waitresses name! She said she is newer to the establishment- I feel terrible for forgetting but she was very attentive and friendly and helpful but not hovering. Our food came out hot and delicious in good timing and it really added to the enjoyment of our celebration. We’ll definitely return.“
“Went to Knoxville for the weekend. Found Clancy's, great decor, nice bar, service etc. Food, mmmh not so much. The Ruben looked great. I decided on Bangers and Mash. What I got could only be described as a bowl of slop! And the Cottage/Shepards pie wasn't much better. A focus on better food presentation, taste and value is in order. Drink but don't here.“
“We went on a Friday night and was an overall good experience. The food was very good but nothing that I would crave to return for. Again, there was nothing wrong at all, The only reason I would hesitate to return was that we felt the pricing was a bit high.2 mixed drinks(small), water and 2 dinner meals ran nearly $80. Small drinks are 12 to 15 each, but were delicious. Entrees start around 20 and up.If you have a little extra to spend, want a good atmosphere, and on point food, give them a try. I would suggest having plenty of time. It did take some time to get drinks, and food was about 25 to 30 mins after ordering. It had its charm and the waiter packed our to go boxes, so no complaints on service other than speed. Worth a try!“
“Did the 1 of each for the first course and the rattlesnake rabbit sausage was our favorite. She had the elk loin and I chose the bison but we both thought the elk was way better. We both got a salad, desert, 3 drinks each and shared a side. Total was about $450 but it was worth it.“
“Very pleased with the atmosphere and food, but most importantly the customer service. We had a wonderful experience with Kayla Nichols who works there that went above and beyond for our party providing an excellent customer experience. Very high end place with suburb customer service. We will be back!“
“Wonderful shepherds pie paired with a wedge salad and Guinness. If you're looking for authentic food from the British Isles you've found it here. Cozy bar with one television. Nice wine selection by bottle or glass. All very affordable and delicious. Loved watching Jennifer tend bar and manage the whole restaurant. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff.“
“We come here often and this last time we had the best service with Mary Lee. She was so attentive with us, refilled our drinks regularly and kept our table clear of finished dishes which I love when we eat out. Next time we come back we will definitely see if she is working and request her!“
