“This is a great little place! We came in because of the puns and stayed for the food. The customer service was great and the girl who helped us was so polite and kind while our kids entertained her. We got the deep fried ravioli, a pizza for the kids, the chicky parm and the mind grinder. We liked everything we got! We haven’t been to the food truck but if we see it we’ll definitely stop.“
“The perfect locally-owned diner experience which is hard to find nowadays, very friendly staff and owners too. I made it in right before they switched to lunch at 1030, and I ordered the Meat Lovers bowl with a side of biscuits and gravy.Watched the cook make my breakfast, she was very quick and put together everything effortlessly. The fried potatoes were crispy, the various meat was amazing, the cheese on top had a melty pull to it. Eat the massive bowl in minutes, and then devoured the biscuits and gravy. No complaints there either, very good. There's a reason the parking lot is full anytime of day, it's simply one of the last great diners in the area. Before I left they were smashing patties on the griddle for lunch and it smelled amazing, I can't wait to come back and try lunch!Parking: A few dozen spots and they keep it moving, full midday before lunch rush.Wheelchair accessibility: Depending if you can park up front, just a small curb and no steps into the doorway. No steps inside.“
“I just want to say this is the nicest, most friendliest, and the most cleanest restaurant I have been to. Madi, Gabriellle, Patti, and Megan were the most personable, attentive and hard working women that I have ever seen. Very pleased to have been sitting here and met them!!!!“
“I came in to get a bite to eat with my husband, Stevie. Wonder why we never noticed it before but better late than never right hahahaha.Anyway it was so wonderful having such good food and such a lovely waitress as well named Mel. She reminds me of my daughter-in-law Tina before Tina made my son hate me for no reason hahaha.Mel is such a pleasant lady and a joy to talk with. She brought Henry and I's food out without it taking a long time at all, and then all of the food was wonderful as well. You guys gotta try the cheese curds there :D Henry couldn't eat them because he's lactose intolerant but that just means more cheese for Betty please haha that's something we always say at my home. But anyway, wonderful staff, wonderful food, great time. I will definitely be bringing my family here next time i talk to them.“
“Service at 71 South was excellent, but the food could be better especially for vegan guests. The cauliflower steak had a charred outside, yet the inside was undercooked and hard, with minimal steak sauce. Vegan options rely on seasoning, and while I appreciate the offerings, I suggest boiling, searing the cauliflower or baking until soft, and enhancing it with plenty of seasoning and sauce. I'd consider returning for that improved preparation or additional vegan options. We want a good experience too! Thank you.“
“This place is wonderful! The food is delicious and they have something for everyone here. We love D&B!Kid-friendliness: They gave my little girl 3 sheets of stickers to keep her busy while eating. She ended up spilling her drink and before I even had a chance to get up one of the staff was at our side moving our food to another table and cleaning the mess up.“
“Sat at a high table by the bar. Our wait guy took our order AND was bar tending (must have been short on staff). He never once stopped moving and got everything done efficiently. Food was good, not big servings, but decently priced.Vegetarian options: Portobello mushroom burger, salads“
“This was a very fun spot for lunch. The food was fairly good. I liked that there were kid friendly options. Our server was very kind and had no trouble answering all our questions. There are fun games for everyone here.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu options.“
“Pelican is one of my absolute favorite places to get snow cones. I could honestly love off snowcones. It had been so long since I had had a snow cone in the picture with 2 snow cones there is some missing because I couldn't wait to take some bites. The only thing I wish that could make them better is for them to be open all year round 24/7 I am addicted to snow cones. Yes you can make them at home when they are close but the at home ones come no where near the amazingness of Pelicans snowcones. My personal favorite is the candy apple with the Carmel drizzle. When I am feeling bad I just get the plane shaved ice and is just like eating snow ❄️ ?“
“We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday. The menu was so much fun. Our server couldn’t have been any nicer and the food was delicious. I am still dreaming about the onion rings and the burger was unusual and delicious. Can’t wait to visit again!!“
“A great place for a nice bite to eat. A little pricy, but the food is worth it. I sat at the bar because I was by myself. Service could have been a little quicker, but other than that I have nothing to complain about.I had the Cuban sliders & fries cause I was just stopping in for lunch.“
“Onion rings were perfectly crisp and the onion was thin but not too thin (just how I like it!) burgers were good too.Didn’t seem to have salt on any of it really but considering this establishment caters to older folk typically I can see why they go really light on the salt.“
“This restaurant is incredible! The food, drinks, and service are all just want you want a fine restaurant to be. High quality wine and beer selection, like they hand picked the best for their patrons. My husband and I were so impressed from the moment we walked in. The manager came and sat with us for a bit and made us feel so welcome. We both had salads with steak added. My husband loved the steak on his salad so much that he ordered a full steak entree. The banana pudding is to die for. We can’t wait to come back and try more menu items and may consider their points club as well!“
“The facility and parking lot were clean and inviting. There wasn't a wait to order. The young lady who waited on us wasn't very friendly and didn't offer or suggest any extras. We received our food promptly. It was hot and the flavor was good. The staff continually were cleaning in the lobby. I would choose to eat here again.“
“Had a good brunch at Southern Grit! The place is a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality. It's super busy on weekends, so come early if you want to grab a seat. Not my usual spot, but I was impressed enough to say the price matches the food. Worth a visit!“
“This establishment at Cedar Bluff, is the sister of one of my very favorite restaurants, Lakeside Grill at Concord Park. The Cheeseburger was steller, cooked perfect to my request. Great ambience. This is one of West Knoxville's best restaurants. I highly recommend.. ??Wheelchair accessibility: All good.“
“Delicious food & birthday surprise!!!! The catering service is really nice - friendly, on time & yummy! So thankful for how convenient & helpful they are! The turkey burger and super generously portioned fries are my favorite!“
“Cute little diner, very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. You order at the counter and then they call out your order from the grill and it is served on paper plates/Styrofoam plates and an old school tray. Good flavor, my husband got the country ham breakfast (sorry no picture) and he said it was ok. Solid little diner in all!“
“Enjoyed some fine dining at this relaxed lounge located in our hotel The Tennessean. The service was fantastic, the staff was very attentive. So I had never had gin before but it sounded adult so I ordered the Gin City in honor of Kiss' last show and their song Cold Gin. Very tasty. Main course was the Panko Pork Milanese. Rustic and hearty, very well done . For desert a NY Cheesecake with a side of caramel and a side of strawberry sauce. They did it to perfection. Would most definitely recommend this place.“
“This place has the freshest food buffet in all of Knoxville. The price is great! Servers are awesome and go out of their way to help their customers. Great place to get together with friends and family. They tend to be super busy after Church hours on Sunday. Plan on at least a 30min wait bc they don't take reservations, which is the only thing I don't like. But the food and service are worth the wait.Dietary restrictions: There is a reduced price for bariatric patients.Parking: There aren't a whole lot of handicap parking spaces. I had to park in the lower parking lot and had a handicapped boy in a wheelchair with me. I had to drop him off at the door and I am handicapped as well, but I parked on the lower lot and walked up.Kid-friendliness: There is a discounted rate for children, and I believe Sunday kids eat for $2.99. Not 100% sure but that is what they charged me for the handicapped boy in the wheelchair I had with me.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair access into the restaurant but there are only a few handicapped parking spots, so you may need to drop your wheelchair person at the door and then find a parking spot. I would recommend they make more handicapped accessible parking in the front of the restaurant.“
“The wife and I came to eat tonight, and we thought it was fantastic! We sat down inside to eat. Lou's was kept clean. The food is made to order so it came out fresh. She had a Cheeseburger which she loved and it looked pretty hefty. I ate the Chicken Philly Cheese with banana peppers, green peppers, and jalapenos. It was marvelous! We both had their fresh cut fries, which in all honesty were plentiful and delicious!“
“This is another place that I've had bookmarked for a long time but only recently tried. I only wish I had tried it sooner! We came for an early lunch on a weekday. There was plenty of seating at the in between breakfast and lunch time. The service was fast and friendly. I had a modified Greek salad (no cheese), hummus, pita, and colonels potatoes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hummus was unusual and very different from local favorites like Yassin's and Holy Land. It wasn't my favorite but I still enjoyed it. Their pita bread is some of the best in town. But the potatoes are incredible! I would go back just for them.“
“Wow I was blown away. I've lived less than 2 minutes down the road from this place for well over a year and somehow never knew it was there until I was craving burgers and search to see what was in the area. Phenomenal choice I will definitely be going back here. The best mozzarella sticks were the best I've had in a long time, the burger much bigger than my stomach could handle.“
“A nice place. Virtually almost nothing for vegetarians and the one thing I tried the pasta dish - spaghetti with parmesan was not any good. It was just so sopping saturated with Parmesan that just really wasn't enjoyable at all and didn't have a good texture. My friend loved the trout though and said that it was excellent. She also loved the IPA, but I thought it was humorous that it came in a can and they made a big deal of pouring it in a very fancy flourish to allow the vapors to volatilize.Vegetarian options: There is nothing there for a vegetarian at all that is edible or at least enjoyable if you can choke it down. So if you're a vegetarian and you go with others who are not, forget it. Best to go go somewhere else where everyone can have a good dinner.“
“One of the best brunch spots you’ll find in Knoxville. The food is delicious, cocktails/drinks are fantastic, servers are super knowledgeable and quick, great ambiance to catch up with friends/family, and it’s big! The weekends are busy, but if there’s a wait (typically prime brunch time), they’ll give you a buzzer that reaches out to the parking lot if you want to wait in your car. It’s always worth it and not that long either. Check their patio out in warmer months - highly recommend!Parking: Parking next to building in the lot, and overflow around the corner!“
“I was out and about today and while not a cheat day, I headed over to Corner 16 on Bob Kirby Rd.I ordered a BLT and had a side of greens. Which seemed healthier than all the other delicious menu items that would have made my chubby man's heart happy. The food was decent, the prices aren't too bad and the service was greatI would say the bacon while really thick was a bit overcooked and there could have been more sauce on my BLT. The greens, while not the fries or tots that I wanted, were tasty.Friday I'll be back with more cheat day meals.“
“The guys were super friendly, and the food was on point. The steak sandwich was amazing. A real piece of steak sliced on a delicious roll with horseradish. Thinking about that sandwich now makes up my mind for lunch today! A steak sandwich from Brown Bag.“
“What a nice surprise! While on spring break in Gatlinburg we decided to visit Knoxville to see the world’s fair park and the University of Tennessee. Looking for a good place to eat this place was on the top of many search engines and we wanted to try it. It was wonderful, the service was great, the food was fresh and the portions are large! We enjoyed the burgers, but the fish looked amazing and I will be trying it next time!Parking: Parking is availability next door as well if you need to find some.“
“Great place to relax, visit with friends and enjoy a delicious lunch!!!!Dietary restrictions: I'm GF and and menu choices are clearly marked to make GF or veg or vegan.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors, smooth floor and restrooms on same floor with restaurant.“
“One of my favorite restaurants. Have eaten there many times. Great beer & great food. They change out their menus but their bison burger is delicious! They have brunch in the weekend. Pricing is not bad. On weekends, I would make reservations. Limited parking outside of restaurant but across the street a free parking lot too.“
“After plans to visit Smash City continued to fall through, I finally made it for the first time Friday afternoon. I came by at 2 something so it was an odd time and no one else was there. Let me start by saying that the double fried fries here are THE BEST I’ve ever had! I’ve lived on both coasts and now the Knox area, am a chubby MF’er who loves the best burgers and fries in the world and look folks, this is the spot! Seriously folks, when I had the fries and the smash burger here, I was trying to contain the unicorns and rainbows flying from every orifice! Definitely the BEST “smash” style burger too! Even the syrup mixture on the soda machine for the root beer was turned up to “painfully sweet”. Absolutely perfect!!! I WILL be back assuming the stent and quad bypass are successful. Lol (knock on wood). Don’t forget to bring change for the meters during the week!“
“Christy was an amazing server with a bubbly personality and a nice smile. I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes and they did not disappoint. A balsamic drizzle would have set them off perfectly. The Chicken and Sausage Gumbo was flavorful and spicy, although a bit thin for my taste. I applaud the bartender for the Blueberry Lavender Mimosa and the Blueberry Lavender soda. I would recommend coming hungry, for the portions are large enough I have leftovers.“
“We had the special, which was the Delmonico Ribeye, baked potato, New England Clam Chowder, and an appetizer featuring calamari. Everything was delicious! The service was excellent! Caleb, our server was laid back, friendly, and all smiles. He was attentive without overdoing it.The atmosphere was cozy, perfect for enjoying an intimate dinner with my husband. Thanks to all at the Chop House!“
“First time at Sami's Cafe and looking forward to my next visit there. I seated myself and was impressed with the fast and friendly service at this restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch only. My order as a first timer at most restaurants is a club sandwich and french fries with a Dr. Pepper. My waitress placed took the order and it wasn't no time before she brought me a club sandwich that was unbelievable, lightly buttered toasted bread packed with all of the essentials that make a great club sandwich paired up with perfectly cooked crinkle fries. The sandwich was large enough that half of it went home with me for a late evening meal. Thanks Sami's Cafe for an awesome first visit and meal.“
“Nice little mom an pop restaurant the food is really good the service is awesome an the portions are definitely worth the money. An the people that come in here are great as well. It's just a great place to eat. an the culture of it just reminds you of how it should be without all the hustle an bustle of fast food. You won't meet a stranger in here!! Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself!! Your going to love it!!Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is just a great place to take your family“
“Everything was extremely clean and nice. We went an hour before closing, and it was almost empty. The food was decent for the price, so I was unsure why there weren't a lot of people still present. The waitress we had was exceptionally nice. My only concern is that I got the teriyaki chicken with Mac and cheese. The Mac was pretty bland. The chicken was moist and flavored well with the sauce, though. My husband received the burger and fries, and it looked amazing. Normally, he throws his left overs away, and this was a time he actually ate them a few hours later. I'm still confused as to why there weren't a lot of people there.“
“I have been getting the Reuben with Swiss sandwich at Jacob's for many years and have always said it was the best Reuben sandwich in Knoxville. However today was not the case. My sandwich although good did not have the Swiss cheese that makes it so gooey and excellent.(I did ask for it with the Swiss cheese!) I also ordered a small order of onion rings and a side salad. The salad in the past always has crackers included, but were not included today for some reason. Also, prices have gone up! Jacob's has always been a great place to eat and the staff very friendly. Maybe just an off day?? Hate to see prices go up and quality go down!“
“This is my favorite brunch place! They stay super busy so definitely check the waitlist before going and reserve your spot! Staff is friendly and efficient, lemon ricotta pancakes are unbeatable, and their honey iced coffee is amazing! Their Atmosphere is lovely and the price is fair considering what you get! Large portions & the place is always clean“
“Quaint diner feel. Could use a little renovation, but prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. Staff kept the coffee flowing my entire visit, which I appreciate. I do wish there was a TV/radio going at the bar or some form of entertainment while you wait. Would recommend for breakfast on occasion if you live in North Knox, their sausage gravy is pretty good in comparison to others. Omelet was a 4/5“
“Service great and food is different. Limited menu. Takeout is not reliable. On 9/8 we picked up $120 of food. No bread.,takeout silverware, pizza burn and after discussion. He said I could redo it but it would be 25 minutes. I took it and stopped by the pizza place. The dogs would not even eat it. 3/12 i got a potato butter and cheese, chicken with honey mustard but i got a potato with a ton of soar cream and chicken with. Chipotle sauce watch eatting. Sample the sauce first“
“One of my favorite places in Knoxville! Drinks are great, servis is terrific and the food is good (not great but good). I stop here every time I'm in town. Sit at the bar, get some drinks and a small bite to eat... you won't regret it.“
“This was a phenomenal place for our anniversary brunch. First of all the hotel is beautiful with a long history starting out as the Peter Kern Bakery then becoming a hotel during the World's Fair in the 80s.The establishment has a really sophisticated atmosphere and the service was fast and friendly with a casual flare. We started off brunch like you should, with two mimosas and a plate of pastries. The walnut scone was delicious if not a bit dry, but the fresh jam more than made up for it. My fiance had an omelet and I ordered the K-town hot chicken and grits. The eggs in her omelette were fluffy and it was huge. Topped with a homemade salsa verde and over stuffed with mushrooms, peppers and sharp cheddar. It also came with a side of tasty fresh fruit. The K-town hot chicken and grits were wonderful, it had a little bit of a bite without being too spicy, the chicken was fried perfectly with a cornflake crust. The stone ground grits were like nothing I've tasted before... Granted not being from the south I have not tried many types of grits but these were delicious. The gravy on top of the chicken was hardy and satisfying. Even the egg that adorned the top was cooked perfectly. If I had to say anything negative about my meal was it could have been plated better.I'm looking forward to trying their dinner one of these days.“
“The Central Ave location has a beautiful, inviting interior, comfortable seating, and we loved that the tables came from local Smoky Mountain Vintage Lumber! Michelle made us feel welcome right away, provided top service, and guided us through our first visit with solid suggestions. We started with Oysters Rockefeller and an incredibly rich Irish potato soup, then moved on to the duck and scallops for our entres. All were flavorful and beautifully presented. We shared an espresso cheesecake for dessert and enjoyed every bite.“
“Friend's all love it maybe I was expecting a little more. Atmosphere was cool but the bathrooms were in rough shape when I was there. I always envision that a restaurant's kitchen is as clean as the restrooms. Food was pretty good I was not a fan of the wing's or the pizza but I'm spoiled from eating at some other places. Service was really friendly and very attentive. I can def see why it's packed in the afternoon.“
“One of Knoxville's finest! If you're from here or just visiting, this is the place to be if you're looking for some self R&R. They only serve the finest selection of hops(no IPAs), they have pool, darts along with dart tournaments. It's overall atmosphere will definitely have you wanting to come back! If you decide to go there, you should definitely try some of the food there too!“
“I started visiting Firebird's for their meat loaf and they took that off the menu, so I started ordering the Cilantro Chicken and now it's part of a 3-course meal, and I don't need that much food, so last night was a very good burger. I've been very critical of the service at this Firebird's over the years, but we had Jaycie last night and she did an excellent job. One of the mangers even stopped by our table and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. My wife loves their Salmon salad, and she said it was good as always. With the menu changes, I'm not sure how many visits to Firebird's is in our future. I might try one of the pasta dishes.“
“The Chef's Table has the most delicious food for stellar prices! My favorite is dish is the Eggs Benedict with crab. With each spoonful, the bites just melt in your mouth. If you haven't been there, you're definitely missing out. This place is an absolute gem!Parking: Shared parking lotKid-friendliness: They offer kid-sized dishes with great prices, under $10.“
“The crew at this location are the absolutely best!! I experienced the best customer service and watched the women working there go above and beyond with every customer in line! Highly recommend stopping in for a fresh sandwich! They were all very knowledgeable about the different varieties of ham/turkey and other items they offer.Kid-friendliness: They offer a small dining area that was kid/family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to entry/exit“
“My wife and I have been coming to Aubrey’s for 20 years and we couldn’t be more pleased with the food and the service. They have several different locations and the impressive thing is each and every one has been outstanding, in my experience there are usually one chain restaurant that is better or worse but each restaurant has been indistinguishable from the others!“
“I have never tasted such flavorful food in my entire life. I didn’t know food COULD be this good. This was my 30th birthday dinner place of choice, and I do not have one complaint. The details with the dated menu and birthday card impressed me. The food impressed me even more. I had the scallion hushpuppies as an appetizer — the sauce that’s paired with them absolutely sealed the deal with my tastebuds. I also had the slow cooked egg gnocchi, which was a classy spin on chicken and dumplings. Based on the description, I was hesitant. But it was highly, HIGHLY recommended by our waitress, so I took a leap. My gosh, I was tilting the bowl and drinking even the very last drops of the broth. I simply cannot wait to come back here and try new things. Thank you, chef!“
