“We stopped in after attending an overlanding event at the Penitentiary about 10 miles away. The owner told us they were completely sold out of breakfast and needed 20 mins to clean up for lunch. It must be good if they sold out of all of their breakfast!! We waited and were served very promptly. Fried bologna was OUT OF THIS WORLD DELICIOUS!!!!!! “My girlfriend & I went to Windrock Snack Shack in Oliver Springs, TN, this evening. I had never been there before but I was pleasantly surprised. We got 2 of the Wednesday specials, which is BBQ Ribs with mashed potatoes and corn with a roll. I greatly enjoyed the meal. We got it as Takeout. “What a Rueben! Their sandwiches, panini, and pizza are always so good! The outdoor patio with live music is fun. We don't drink, and we still love going there for the food and occasional music. It's a fun atmosphere, almost like being on a beach vaca. Music is hit or miss, but the food is always yummy - and you can always sit inside the restaurant as well.“
“We were a group of 20+ individuals in town for an event and everybody was very happy with their dining experience at Fire & Salt. Gabriel was fantastic to work with at time of booking, including when we had to make alterations to our reservation on two separate occasions. Brittany and Whitney, our wait staff, were quick, charming, and very personable people that made our whole group feel very welcome. Last but certainly not least, the cuisine and drinks were superb - excellent price for the amazing quality and presentation. “I went to this quaint little place on the recommendation of a customer. It’s situated right next to a bar and I think the bar and grill share the same facilities. I ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich. It came out efficiently and piping hot. I definitely enjoyed the meal and would go there again. This place had good service and good food at a fair price if you’re local or just passing through this place is definitely worth a stop.“

“Great food for a good price. Staff is always very nice. The cheesesteaks are good and hot for 10 to 20 minutes. There is not seating inside, which is fine, so you have to find a spot to eat. There is a public park right across the street. Bring some extra paper towels and wet hand wipes. Drive to a park or any spot and enjoy.“

“Food was excellent and service was fast and friendly but something odd happened. We ordered burgers and onion rings, and we had driven twenty miles, one way, to try this particular meal. Our server said, "I'm sorry but we don't serve onion rings on Saturdays. Would you like fries?" I found that sooo peculiar... and arbitrary but I agreed to fries and waited for my food. While eating an excellent burger and very good fries, a couple in the booth behind ours ordered burgers with onion rings. His server (a different server) wrote his order down and walked away. I continued eating, expecting his server back, any minute, to tell him that, as is their practice, he would not be having onion rings with his burger since it was Saturday. Is Saturday a Latin word for 'serve no deep-fried onions'? I kept eating, anticipating his disappointment when he got the bad news, then there she came, as I felt certain she would, carrying a lovely plate with a big burger and a mound of crunchy onion rings. ?? WTH? Is there a secret password I'm unaware of? I'll go back because the breakfast menu looks yummy but I'll have my eyes on that server. ?“
“Having never experienced Calhoun's resturant before, I was so impressed with the service, food...the entire atmosphere of this amazing place. They where very accommodating to us from the time we entered....especially to my being handicapped (using a walker) making several trips to our table to see if everything was ok & was there anything else they could get for us. Truely my family, as well as myself, felt very welcomed & accommodated. “I came during Oak Ridge's annual Lavender Festival, and saw that this shop made lavender ice cream. I am not typically adventurous with my palate, but *everyone* was getting that flavor, so how bad could it be? Spoiler: It was AMAZING. It had a subtle berry type of flavor, and was very refreshing. It was also pretty cheap compared to most ice cream shops. The line was long due to the Lavender Festival, but it was well worth the wait. 10/10 I'd come here again.“

“Just like most eateries, Aubrey's over cooks salmon, which should be slightly pink inside so it is still more tender than it is "done". Other than this I like Aubrey's very much, we eat there often as a family. The service is good as well as the drinks.“

“What can I say? Waffle House is that friend we aren't proud to say we know. They're the friend that's a little too loud and a little too friendly. We quietly ignore them in a crowd until you really need them. We are as ashamed of knowing them as we are of how we treat them around others. We pretend that "better" places like iHop are what we really like, but we all know when you need a friendly smile and a hot cup of coffee on the table to soothe your aching head, Waffle House is where we crawl back. This location is no different. Jet lagged and unable to sleep, I crawled back to the only friend open at o'dark thirty. The wait staff here was great, warm and inviting like I came in everyday. The food was comforting and quick and the coffee was perfect. This place was perfect and I'll proudly say it was some of the best food I ate in Oak Ridge.“
“Our family of five has made it our custom to enjoy the lunch buffet almost every Sunday after church. The food is always fresh, the atmosphere lively, and Caroline always takes excellent care of our table. The breakfast buffet, combined with the regular lunch menu make it easy for our kids to all find something they like. “If you are riding Wind Rock and staying in Oak Ridge this is a great dinner stop. The entire restaurant had a great vibe and they happened to have Karaoke the night that we stopped in. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the parking for trailers was exceptional. The only reason for 4 stars was they are a Bar and Grill and were out of our first 4 adult beverage selections. So, we had to settle for what they had vs what we normally would choose. “So I left an earlier bad review because I was unable to fit into any of their booths and when I asked if they had a loose chair I could sit in, I was told they did not. Based on the owner's response that they did have a chair available and I should have asked for the owner, we revisited Ma and Pa's Kettle to see how the food was. We were impressed with the Catfish, hush puppies and fries. The mozzarella cheese sticks were pretty awesome too. Will probably be placing orders to go on these items in the future. I still think they could have a chair or two maybe at each end of the tables in the middle of the dining room, just so a larger than normal person doesn't have to explain that they need a chair. I deleted the old one star review and replaced it with this one because it wouldn't update the Stars unless it was a new review.“
