$20 a night to park in the hotel parking you are staying in, even handicapped parking which is free at Oak Island and Holden Beach wherever a handicapped parking space is! Not to mention they don’t tell you about the Nightly parking fee until you check in…I darn sure didn’t walk to the place of course I need a parking space, what a rip off!!! Won’t be back!
The staff is extremely friendly. the rooms are a bit outdated, but the service that you receive makes it well worth it. the views are unbelievable because you face the ocean and it is wonderful. you also have the balconies with the microwave and a refrigerator and a safe if you need it. so overall the hotel is wonderful. however, the restaurant rising tide the service is awful. their rejection of people just because they're not buying anything to sit on their property is unreal....read full review
Came here for a quilting retreat of 29 people and we were taken care of royally for the entire weekend by the hotel and especially the Rising Tide restaurant staff.

The Crystal Coast Oceanfront Hotel provides a comfortable and convenient stay right by the beach. Guests can enjoy beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels to make the most of the coastal setting. Although the onsite restaurant, Rising Tide, is currently undergoing renovations, it is known for its amazing food and stunning views. Guests can use the mini-fridges in their rooms to bring their own food.
The hotel offers oceanfront rooms that have been recently updated. These rooms feature modern flooring, attractive headboards, and beach-inspired artwork, but some are smaller and have double beds instead of queen beds, along with a textured wall finish. The fitness center includes two treadmills and a dumbbell rack, but lacks a water dispenser. Guests should note that there is a separate parking fee per day, which can be surprising for those expecting free parking.
The hotel's pool and hot tub area provide a relaxing atmosphere, complete with a bar and occasional live music. Guests can also enjoy a food truck that comes around lunchtime. While some reviews mention that service needs improvement, the hotel has the potential to deliver a great coastal experience. The friendly staff and beautiful beach make it a desirable destination, even if there are minor issues to address.
