“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.“

“I've been dining at both restaurants for years and enjoyed myself ,the food , and the staff! The food and sides at Morehead have a better flavor, taste better ,and the portions are much bigger. I ve notice that recently on my last couple times that the sides are much better at both restaurants. The mash potatoes in Morehead are so delicious. I wish that was the same case at the emerald isle restaurant. The Cole slaw is the best that I have taste recently. I swear if the food was as good as the sides have been lately I wouldn't eat anywhere else. SNAPPPERZ KEEP IT UP!“

“I always order crab cakes which are delicious. Last night, they came with mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. I honestly could’ve eaten an entire plate of just the veggies. Best I’ve ever had!! The server we had was wonderful, but she had several tables at once. She forgot to put in our appetizer order, but once we pointed it out, the manager graciously offered free dessert. I realize that they were extremely busy, and it definitely won’t be our last time eating there. Our food and service was excellent. The staff went above and beyond.“

“Tonight I had dinner with a friend on her suggestion, I have only been here for lunch and it's always delicious. This was my first dinner and it did not disappoint. Timmy was our server. He was so kind, personable, attentive and made wonderful suggestions from the menu. He is very good at describing the menu items while making them sound delicious, not just rattling them like bullet points. He very much talked me into the special with his description. We started with the cheese, my friend got the pork chops while I got the special grouper entree and we ended with the chocolate peanut butter dessert. The cheese was out of this world, that and the risotto were my favorite. I also had a white blend wine, I always get so excited to see those on a menu since I feel like it's not common. I definitely need to return with my husband for date night next time! I wish I would have taken photos but we were having such a wonderful time together.“

“Here for the first time a few nights ago. Got take-out. The bbq was very good and the vinegar-pepper sauce was on point. Wife is more of a ketchup base and they had a sauce for her that she liked as well. Been a life long NC'er but we moved up to Indiana a few years ago and you cannot, cannot find good bbq up there. They think its good up there but no vinegar can be found. We will be back.“

“We drove 2.5 hours to eat. The best seafood around. The hostess, waiter and manager made the meal even better as we arrived 10 minutes before they closed, they still welcomed us in as if they were not getting ready to close. You won't find a better place to eat.“

“Just as beautiful off season, no crowds, great prices! Tranquility, perfect, peaceful oasis. Suites attractively decorated, and oceanfront-fall asleep to the crashing waves in comfort.
Rooms have a fridge, microwave and the set up on the balcony is perfect to chill with your gadgets beside you. Pool, hot tub, plenty of parking. Restaurant is being renovated so didn't get to try but looking forward to it next time.
