“I recently worked on Harkers Island for a week. The Seaside had the BEST fried shrimp and hushpuppies of all the places I tried in the area. Their fries were also really good. Yes, the service is not fast, but, for the most part, the service was friendly. A hidden gem indeed!“
“This was by far one of my favorite dining experiences. I recommend making a reservation beforehand because of the size of the restaurant. Service was amazing! Very friendly host and hostess, and our server, PJ, was so nice, very knowledgeable about the menu, and gave great recommendations for food and beverages. I recommend the cheese plate and duck wings. The petite filet was cooked to perfection, and the desert sampler we ordered was so pretty I almost did not want to eat it! We will definitely be coming back here again!Parking: We parked over by the backstreet pub, there is a small parking lot across from the restaurant but I was not sure if it was reserved for another business nearby. Not a very far walk from any of the paid parking spaces nearby.“
“The Beaufort Grocery is my favorite restaurant in Beaufort, NC. I visit Beaufort for work and always eat at this wonderful restaurant. I also bring back to Tampa the Gouda cheese spread. I start with the cheese spread and see what specials they have. Last time I stuck with the Pan-Seared Duck Breast but you can't go wrong with anything they serve. They have a tiny bar but will make you anything you want. Service is fantastic! Wish I could visit for brunch!“
“My wife and I often eat at Clawson's and we always enjoy the food. The salads, seafood, burgers and soup are our favorites. The staff goes out of the way to make your visit a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Today we were served by Kyle (excellent staff member) and we spoke with Melissa who is the manager and she is kind and outgoing and checks in with you to make sure your visit as a customer is a good one.I highly recommend Clawson's.“
“This was my second time coming to Beaufort and I am here on the off season for my bday weekend and I am so glad I stopped in to Moonrakers bc our bartender ANGEL was amazing- very Personable and aware of what we drank from ordering our first drink! Keep her around bc you don’t find many Bartenders as sweet as her and she even chit chatted wth us! Thanks for a good night and I’m a happy patron thank you Angel for being our bartender…..until we see you again!! XO“
“We loved Blackbeard! The food was delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller and Parmesan crusted oysters appetizers were great for sharing and very tasty. The fried shrimp and scallops were a nice size, not overly breaded, crispy, and delicious. The ahi tuna was absolutely incredible. If it is on special, I recommend ordering it. The seafood bisque is creamy, rich, and flavorful. Not pictured is the ribeye. It was seasoned, cooked, and seared perfect. A special shout out to Carol, our waitress for the fantastic service. She was very friendly offering great suggestions with the menu, our food was served hot, and our drinks were never empty.“
“We had an amazing dinner here! The menu is robust with many options to choose from. The service was quick and attentive. The seafood bisque is a must-have--super creamy with tons of lump seafood in it. Other tables had salads that looked huge and delicious, I'd like to try one next time! As my husband said, "this is the best food we've had at a restaurant down here!"“
“My second visit to the restaurant with the new chef. As it was Easter Sunday evening, I still haven't seen a full new menu (first visit was during Restaurant Week), but dinner was quite good and the service excellent. I love the restaurant's wine list, so I'm hoping that I enjoy the 'new' menu when I get back for it.“
“The food was good. Firecracker shrimp was great. My quest had a crab cake and a wrap that looked like a gigantic burrito. They enjoyed both. My wife had a plate of wings that were really big. The flavor was great but cooked a little too hard. Normally they are cooked just right. In the spring and summer months you can be seated outside with a view of the river. All in all it was a very nice experience. I would recommend Finz every time. By the way the prices are good too.“
“I love the food at Ribeyes. The waitresses are great. The chef is superb. The atmosphere is good. I liked the food so much that I wanted to meet the chef and thank him personally. He will come to our table when we eat there and check to make sure everything is okay. New to Ribeyes and this means a lot to me and my family. I always want to give praise when praise is deserved. Good job, Ribeyes!“
“What a great experience we had. First and foremost is the gorgeous view of the water. You feel like you're in a boat because you're so close. Dining and watching the ducks diving was awesome. We arrived at around 5pm on a Friday in March without a reservation and we were lucky enough to get a window table. I'm not sure if that's always the case, so call ahead if the view is important to you. I think this would be a great place to go on a date. The menu is fairly small. However, my husband and I both easily found a couple of options we were happy with. I had the ahi tuna tacos and he had the jerk chicken and wedge salad. When I tell you everything was delicious, I mean amazing. Every single aspect of each dish was spot on and well thought out. Our server, Gypsy, was lovely too. Just the right amount of friendly and very professional. We would like to return to Beaufort just to dine here again and have the same meal!We ordered the strawberry bread pudding to share and it was so very delicious. It was so big that we couldn't quite finish it unfortunately. The bread pudding has fresh tasting strawberries throughout, a strawberry frosting (cream cheese perhaps?), plus whipped cream. So good. The location is right at the beginning of Front Street at number 300, so it's easy to find. I don't usually gush so much over a restaurant, but when it's so good, plus reasonably priced as this one is, I like to spread the joy.“
“From the outside I never would have expected the quality of the meal, service, and atmosphere I found when I stopped by and visited Roland's Beaufort, North Carolina location. First, even with it being an older building, it was clean with a capitol C. The staff at the counter were friendly and knew their products....It's been several years since I visited Rolands, and to be honest, I was afraid they had fallen victim as many of our local area restaurants had to the downturn in the market post Covid... Thankfully, and to my pleasant surprise, they are still going strong. I am a bit picky when it comes to my chicken. Most fast food restaurants, the chicken is greasy, and over breaded. Roland's was a very.... very.... happy surprise. The chicken had just the right amount of humidity, just the right amount of breading, and an amazingly low amount of grease... if any. I don't know how they did it... but that chicken was perfect. I ordered the sides of Italian Green Beans and their homemade mac and cheese..... Yep... you read right.... REAL Italian Green Beans with just the right amount of pork for flavor. the mac and cheese was good enough to serve in a five star restaurant and reminded me greatly of the way my grandmother used to make it.My brother and I visited the restaurant as a team. He ordered the BBQ plate with butter beans, corn and hushpuppies. You would have thought you were at a church pig picking. That pork was loaded with flavor, texture, and had enough chunks to tell you that somebody slow cooked it properly. He ate everything on the plate, as as picky as my brother is.... that tells you that the meal was mighty good.I uploaded photos of the interior and of the meal I ordered. I wanted you to see for yourself the quality of what I was served and the size of the portions. That's a ten inch plate!!!! It's been a long time since I've seen a plated loaded that full for the price I paid. Great tasting, and they didn't skimp on the portions. The interior reminds one of the diners of old. It's homelike, friendly, clean, and the seats are comfortable with plenty of room, and the tables don't wobble. How were the prices? Well, to be honest for the same price I usually pay at the corporate burger joint... I got a real meal, and a very enjoyable place to feast on it. I was served by a courteous, friendly and respectful young staff.I will definitely be going back... and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Beaufort, North Carolina area. I think it's one of Beaufort's best kept secrets... and trust me.... it's one worth sharing. JM“
“We were a bit hesitant when we saw the limited lunch menu available on the covered porch as we were there at 2. But I would go back today and order the exact same thing! The Jamaican wings had the best flavor and were crispy. Their ranch and blue cheese was thick and on point and must be homemade. The grilled pimento cheese w bacon was so rich and creamy on delicious nutty bread. For my side I had the cucumber salad which had onions and peppers in a vinaigrette and was perfect to cut the richness of the pimento cheese. It was such a good combination! I did not get a picture of the shrimp tacos my friend had but she said they were delicious too.“
“After waiting about half an hour for them to reopen to dinner service, I was overall pretty happy with the whole thing. Tab was about $40 and that was the cheapest two plates. The steamed shrimp were so so good! Small place so any parties of four or more would probably be crampedVegetarian options: None.“
