“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“While it can get packed on weekends (a testament to its popularity), the energy is always upbeat. The owner Leslie is so friendly along with all of her staff. It’s the kind of place where you can grab a bowl, enjoy the sunshine, and soak in those beautiful Beaufort days! The food is fresh, and atmosphere is fun. My girls and I love to go there for an afternoon treat or we may even have it for a meal!”

“I would never visit Beaufort and not stop by this place. Don’t let the size or location fool you this is a #1 stop for the best musicians around. Always a good time and the local folks make it fun with their welcoming and friendly smiles and handshakes. I played an Open Mic there last year and hope to play there one day. “Stopped in for lunch yesterday, food was great. Restaurant was clean, but as we waited for our food and looked out at your front patio, it was sad to see the dead potted hibiscus trees. They can't be outdoors below 50°... if you had brought them inside in that sunny area for the winter, they would be blooming like mine is right now. You need to make your outdoor area visually appealing, instead of looking like you don't care about the place.”

“A local family owned business... Favorites are Sesame Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp. All of the shrimp dishes are very good and seem to be made with fresh local shrimp. Their white rice is perfect - I prefer it to the fried rice. Really good Chinese-American restaurant.”
