“Wonderful fresh seafood awaits you at Avon Seafood. 4 nights we got various seafood and cooked wonderful meals in our rented beach house. The crab cakes were delicious- go early since they sell out sometimes. We got salmon, crab clusters, clams, scallops and shrimp in addition to the crab cakes. They also had key lime pies (mini and full size)as well as gourmet ice cream sandwiches. We had fabulous meals , much better than what we had at the local places. I made cedar plank salmon, clams with butter and garlic (too bad the bread in OBX stinks), steamed crab clusters, crab cakes with remoulade, and pasta with seafood in a basil tomato cream sauce . So much better than our meals out and more cost effective. Don't hesitate to go here!“

“ah sonny's been there many times. we stayed at the marlyn motel mid-70s mid-80s breakfast linch,, always.was a busy place at 6 am. would go fish,, and sometimes we would catch something and have it cleaned across the road from sonnys. tae tem back to the motel and cook them. they had grills and a place to clean the fish if you cleaned your own. sure miss it all. we went at least three times a year. w.e. came down from richmond va back then one of the best places i've been. sonnys was cool. thomas l dildine........now from henrico nc.“

“We stopped at Frisco Bay Coastal Grill before heading home and wow was the food absolutely fantastic!! We had the fish bites, duck poutine, steamed shrimp, and pizza Mexicana. This was one of the BEST meals we've had on the island. will absolutely return frequently when vacationing in Hatteras!!“
“What a great hidden gem. From the outside it looks like a dive but on the inside you will find great food. My buddy says the best hamburger he ever had. Me, I get the fish sandwich of the day. Reasonable prices and great drinks. Don't pass Pops up.“
“The best food on Hatteras Island. The seafood was perfectly prepared and the best hushpuppies ever. They have perfected handling of short staffing. Ordering at the register allows the lone server the ability to get food out as fast as it's prepared. The cashier/bartender was wearing many hats and helping with drink refills. I highly recommend, it is worth any wait.“
