“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“4.5 stars Came here on Monday for lunch and there was no wait in the restaurant. My dad got the club and I got the squash soup ($8). The soup wasn't quite wasn't what I was expecting as it came in a martini glass (guess I should've gone with the blue corn pancakes). It was very warm temperature-wise and the local honey added some sweetness to it. Since we were celebrating my birthday, they brought out a small chocolate cake with berries. It had a harder outer crust of chocolate and was delicious. The views were great and you could find some reasonably priced items on the menu.”

“If you want the best pizza in Beaufort look no further. We stopped by and had a choice of seating in either the hip store to the left or more traditional place to the right. Same great food. We chose the left and had spectacular service from Sean. A great local resource he went out of his way with service you only find in expensive venues. The pizza is true brick oven and the ingredients were fresh. They have a sofa sitting area near the fireplace that caps your evening. We had bourbons. Perfect evening.”

I recently took their raw patties with me on a quick trip to The Cabins at Cape Lookout National Seashore and wow can’t beat that burger and the salty air!”

“Historic Coffee Grounds knows how to make delicious coffee. They have some of the best, fresh ground hot coffee varieties and make some delicious cold brew concoctions as well. I love the toffee crunch and popcorn cold brews. Favorite place to grab a cup of coffee in Beaufort .”

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday, food was great. Restaurant was clean, but as we waited for our food and looked out at your front patio, it was sad to see the dead potted hibiscus trees. They can't be outdoors below 50°... if you had brought them inside in that sunny area for the winter, they would be blooming like mine is right now. You need to make your outdoor area visually appealing, instead of looking like you don't care about the place.”

“This Ice Cream is worth the drive from where ever you are around the Island of Atlantic Beach down to Emerald Isle !!!! We will definitely go there when we go back .

“A local family owned business... Favorites are Sesame Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp. All of the shrimp dishes are very good and seem to be made with fresh local shrimp. Their white rice is perfect - I prefer it to the fried rice. Really good Chinese-American restaurant.”

“Our food was very good. Appetizer came out right away and then we waited at least 30-40 minutes for our entrees. The place was busy but not that busy. We arrived probably 10 minutes before our reservation time and with multiple open tables the hostess made us wait. I asked to be seated by the window inside so we could see the water. Chose not to sit outside because it was in the 90's. She sat us at the back of the restaurant against a wall when there were a lot of open tables. Our waitress did mess up our checks with the people next to us and we had to correct that. I would return for the food.”

“This restaurant has been here several years and I never had a desire to stop in, probably due to a really poor experience at different Taco Bell location. I took a chance and stopped by recently and was very pleasantly surprised, the facility was very clean, staff was friendly, the meal was pretty good for a chain restaurant and the price was reasonable. Been back a couple more times since with the same experiences and they haven't made a mistake on my order yet. It may not be "authentic" mexican, but for what it is, this location has made me a fan again.”
