“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday, food was great. Restaurant was clean, but as we waited for our food and looked out at your front patio, it was sad to see the dead potted hibiscus trees. They can't be outdoors below 50°... if you had brought them inside in that sunny area for the winter, they would be blooming like mine is right now. You need to make your outdoor area visually appealing, instead of looking like you don't care about the place.”

“Absolutely outstanding coffee experience! The lattes were incredibly smooth with delicious, well-balanced flavor, and the barista clearly knew their craft!! She offered spot-on flavor recommendations that did not disappoint. We came for breakfast and literally came back the same day in the afternoon because it was that good. The staff was unbelievably friendly and even remembered us and our order. That kind of hospitality is rare and so appreciated. Top-tier coffee shop experience! If you appreciate delicious, well crafted espresso drinks, Historic Grounds does not disappoint!”

“I saw a line as we were looking for a parking spot so we decided to give it a try. We weren’t disappointed. We ordered chocolate chip cookie dough, Reese’s peanut butter, cookie butter, cookie and cream and chocolate. The Reese’s and cookie butter were my favorites. It was all really good. Even thought it was cold, we really enjoyed it!”

“A local family owned business... Favorites are Sesame Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp. All of the shrimp dishes are very good and seem to be made with fresh local shrimp. Their white rice is perfect - I prefer it to the fried rice. Really good Chinese-American restaurant.”

“Went to Jersey Mike's expecting to meet a guy named Mike from Jersey. Turns out, no Mike. No New Jersey. Just sandwiches. But let me tell you, these subs? They legally shouldn't be this good. I took one bite and suddenly remembered my childhood pet turtle, Greg, who I never actually owned.

The bread? Softer than my last breakup. The meat? Sliced so thin, I questioned the laws of physics. I asked the cashier if they used a particle accelerator to cut the ham, and he just nodded like he understood.

Anyway, I left with a sub and a renewed sense of purpose. 10/10, would get existential over a sandwich again.”
