“My husband wanted to try Fried Soft Shell Crab and while we were in Beaufort NC we saw that Blackbeard’s had it on the menu. He ordered the build your own combo with the shrimp. He thought it was phenomenal and said the shrimp was the best he has had. I tried a cup of the Chowder and the Bisque. Both were really good but the chowder was my favorite. Carol our waitress was amazing, we were asking her about the soft shell crab and she gave us some history on the place. If you are in the area, make sure to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Historic Coffee Grounds knows how to make delicious coffee. They have some of the best, fresh ground hot coffee varieties and make some delicious cold brew concoctions as well. I love the toffee crunch and popcorn cold brews. Favorite place to grab a cup of coffee in Beaufort .”

“Stopped in for lunch yesterday, food was great. Restaurant was clean, but as we waited for our food and looked out at your front patio, it was sad to see the dead potted hibiscus trees. They can't be outdoors below 50°... if you had brought them inside in that sunny area for the winter, they would be blooming like mine is right now. You need to make your outdoor area visually appealing, instead of looking like you don't care about the place.”

“The Handle Bar (aka Yall Suck). There is a great story here. Nice local spot. You feel like you walked into the southern version of Cheers. Good bantering and friendly staff and patrons. Good selection of beers and cocktails at a restaurant price. We loved it!! It is a cash only bar. Heads up”

“One of my favorites in Beaufort! Absolutely love their Caesar salad, pizza rolls, and homemade pizza! They also have amazing daily specials. We love the atmosphere inside, and sitting outside when the weather is good. Highly recommend!”

“After dinner walk saw a line here so we joined them to get homemade ice cream. Biggest decision what flavor and cup or cone. Just know with this being homemade it doesn’t have all the preservatives in it so it will melt faster than store bought, so if you choose cone, no worries they have napkins and there’s a public bathroom next door to wash your hands. Definitely was worth stopping and standing in line”

“A local family owned business... Favorites are Sesame Chicken and Kung Pao Shrimp. All of the shrimp dishes are very good and seem to be made with fresh local shrimp. Their white rice is perfect - I prefer it to the fried rice. Really good Chinese-American restaurant.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at 30 Degrees North in Beaufort, North Carolina. Our waitress, Molly, was amazing — incredibly efficient, knowledgeable, and truly a professional through and through. She took such great care of us.

The food was very good, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably priced the meals were. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and one of the best parts was that it wasn’t too noisy — we could actually enjoy real conversation.

Overall, this is a great spot and truly a little hidden gem that many people may not know about. Highly recommend visiting 30 Degrees North if you’re in the area!”

“Walked in at lunch time. Not busy inside. Drive thru was full. Staff asked me if they could help me use the kiosk or did I want her to ring me up. I told her she could take my order. I got Nachos Belgrande. They came out quickly. I had plenty of chips but not alot of topping or cheese. Kinda disappointed.”
