“It’s hard to find authentic Mexican food in west Winston but Los Juanes really outdoes itself! Not only are the dishes delicious and aesthetically pleasing, the atmosphere is great for getting some drinks with friends or celebrating a life event with family. All of the meats are super fresh, probably bc they have a Mexican meat market attached right next door but we recently had the torta and the bread was soft and had a fresh baked taste to it. For drinks I’d recommend de Michelada or the Palomas 😍 Just had their pozole yesterday for the first time and I was really impressed..tasted like someone’s mama made that 👏👏👏 Also Friday nights is live music night! Definitely recommend!“

“After hearing the hype I decided to give this place a try and pickup some dinner. All I can say its its fantastic. I tried the Ribs and some of the Barbacoa and both were delicious. You can pick out a plate or just get what you want by weight. More people in Lewisville Clemmons need to try this place.“

“My wife and I visited Los Toritos on a Thursday night for the food and the live music. We really enjoyed our meal and had a blast listening to the music. The musician was excellent, great tunes, great voice, and nice selection of songs throughout the evening.“

“I had my first visit at Taco Mama tonight. I was incredibly impressed. This far this is the best food I have had in Winston Salem, apart from Bobbie Boy bakery. The food was plentiful, delicious, and reasonable. The service was excellent and very accommodating. I love this place, and I can’t wait to eat there again when I am in Winston Salem!“

“This was our first time here. It's in the same complex as Food Lion. If I am being honest, my first thought was, as we approached, this might not be great. But, as soon as we walked in, I was calmed. The atmosphere was pretty much a typical Mexican style restaurant. However, the service was impeccable and, most importantly, the food was fantastic! I usually start by judging their salsa verde. I had the Chili Verde and was duly impressed. Everyone else loved their food. The prices were reasonable and we got free dessert.“

“Today my daughter treated me to Mi Pueblo for lunch for Mothers Day. Our server was top notch his name is Luis. If you go there to eat ask for him. Super guy very friendly and took excellent care of us. Also the margarita was simply delicious. Highly recommend!! #askforluis ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

I would venture to say this is probably the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. So glad we stumbled upon it on our way home from vacation. We will definitely make this a regular food stop on our trips to NC!“

“Update: After a brief break following my last La Carreta review, we decided to try their takeout again. I am very pleased to report the restaurant is back to providing excellent food and customer service. They have made noticeable improvements that I greatly appreciate. We're ordering from them regularly again.
We have been loyal customers of this location ever since it opened many years ago, typically placing a takeout order at least once a month. Over the past few months, we have been disappointed to see a noticeable decline in La Carreta's service. Staff are not as friendly or helpful as they have been in the past and takeout food orders are frequently inaccurate. Picking up my takeout order today, I had to stand at the front counter for over 10 minutes before a staff member eventually appeared. There was absolutely no one managing or keeping an eye on the front of the restaurant during this entire time. The employee who finally showed up to help me was curt. There was no apology for the wait and no thanks for my order. The food was adequate but not up to usual La Carreta standards. I'm not sure what's wrong at this location, but it will need to improve for us to continue ordering from them.“
