“Most of the time I go here, everything is awesome. However, this last time may have been a game changer! Starting with the host station, girls on their cell phones and rudd to people that had questions. The waiter only came to the table when there was something to be delivered, I had to wave my empty drink cup around to get it filled, there were plenty of staff there and they just walked by like it was not theit table. The lady that delivered the food just put it anywhere, never asked if there was anything else. Waiter never asked if we wanted drinks frome the bar or dessert afterward. I asked to place an additional order to take home, and it was like, really! The food has never disappointed us. However, the service got lost in the mail!...“

“Solid, no frills, little local bbq joint. Ask about the daily sides as there were a bunch not listed in the menu. BBQ pork was good chopped and pulled and smoky. Smoked and fried chicken wings were great. Seems like a local lunch place for the judicial system workers.Vegetarian options: Not many“

“I love local hole in the wall restaurants, great hot dogs and tater tots and Black's Grill checks all of those boxes! I was told their cheeseburgers are even better so that will be next! Small clean place on the side of the road that's a don't miss. Only take cash so be prepared for that.“

“Their ribs are on point! I also really like that the people who run it are super friendly and kind! They treat you like family. I also approve of their barbecue sandwich, hush puppies and fries. Would defiantly recommend for anyone around the area. Only complaint I have is parking. It is non-existent and I really wish they would find a solution. Someone is going to get in an accident pulling in/out.“

“Black's is the best in BBQ sandwiches and for the amount of food they give you. You just can't beat it there all American and a great team of service everyone I have ever dealt with gives plenty and they are very polite. My mother and father went there when they were teenagers. Thank you to all the crew“

“I went in today to have breakfast after my appointment. I'm truly glad we went in because the service was amazing, especially with Tater (Scott) and the other people there, like the owner, Rhonda. I got the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs with onions, bacon , grits, and toast, as well as coffee on the side. The coffee was fresh and not too watered down like many places I've been to. I will note that the buttery grits were so creamy and just perfectly made. I've had really hard, disgusting grits before. My son had the club sandwich and he really enjoyed it. He had no complaints at all and even saved the other half for later because it was a lot, lol. I started asking questions about the place and how long it has been there. Rhonda is the daughter of the original owner, and he was well known in the area, she stated. They have a nice photo to commemorate him with him having a big smile on his face . I loved the quaint, small mom-and-pop vibe of the place. Honestly, I appreciate places like these so much more because you can tell they are doing the cooking with love. As we sat and enjoyed our meal, we heard and saw what seemed to be regulars. You can tell you are treated like family here. I loved hearing the joking between customers and employees because it felt lighthearted. I also enjoyed how the tables have so many pictures of customers, etc. I also ended up ordering a cheesesteak for my daughter to go with some fries . Let me tell you, I made sure to ask for a bite of it from her, lol. Well, I'm glad I did. Now I know I can enjoy a cheesesteak from here. I shall note... While no, it is not the normal Philly we know, literally from Philadelphia, it is quite good with the hoagie roll they use, and the meat is tender and not overly chopped. We also had a piece of cake that they were giving out today, and it was red velvet. I'm not a big fan of that flavor, but it really was pretty darn good. All in all, it is a simple yet great establishment to get a great cup of coffee and a nice meal that isn't going to break the bank. I am truly grateful to Tater for his amazing customer service skills and sweet nature. To all the employees and the owner, thank you for having a place that many call home.“

“A little expensive but worth it is what I used to say but the latest experience was "OKish" at best. Fries was bland and a little burnt, minced BBQ sandwich was extremely soggy and thrown together without any thought of appearance with meat and slaw all over the top side of the bun. The cherry lemon sundrop tasted like carbonated lemon soda water with no cherries in it at all. The curb side service was depressing and lazy. Expects a tip but forgot the straws and ketchup and rolls her eyes when asked for that and 8 of the 14 dollars in change due back. What happened to this place?“

“Found this little gem just driving through from one town to the next and it seemed to have plenty of business inside and drive-through and we love to find these little town diners and try them out (which is usually hit or miss) but this one was a great find and it's American family owned. The people were super nice and so on top of it- we said our drink and like a split second later it was right in front of us (speediest service ever) and the man taking our order was so nice and personable. It was a real pleasure to go there and if I see a chuck wagon steak on a menu which is rare to find these days so I always have to get it and it was the best chuckwagon sandwich I have ever had- pure quality (unlike most other places these days that have cheapened all their products for higher profit and it shows). My mother also had a BBQ plate and loved it and I had corn nuggest with my sandwhich which were delightful- I also appreciate how they let you substitute the fries for any other side items cause that's another thing that places aren't allowing for as much these days either. I highly recommend getting off the interstate on your way through and drive on over to McDonald's Family Restaurant where they are doing things like the good ol' days.“
