The Pure & Proper Reviews
This place is a must in Black Mountain.
They spoil us all with their food. They care about the quality of products they use.
We get flavorful food that we can’t find anywhere else.
Very happy to see how the Lord is blessing this beautiful family, brother and sister in Christ.
We’ll definitely continue coming back!
Excellent meal and service. If they have had to simplify menu or service due to the storm it was not evident. We went for an early dinner and were sat right away. Food and drinks were excellent. The Pure & Proper is a hidden gem with sophisticated food in a rustic setting. The wait staff is professional and the service is top-notch. The menu offers unique and delicious dishes like crispy chicken, Brussel sprouts, braised ribs, tuna, and monk fish, all well-portioned and reasonably priced. Recent visitors praise the bread service, especially the focaccia, and highlight the careful selection of dishes such as pork belly and Flat Iron steak, which are delicious. The restaurant features inventive dishes and a lively vibe, making it a fun place to dine. The ambiance is warm and inviting, set in a converted old gas station with tribute items recognizing its past. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and the owner, Richard, takes time to chat with guests, adding a personal touch. Overall, The Pure & Proper delivers on its promise of excellence and is a must-visit for a 5-star dining experience.
