“My wife and I usually eat at the Snack Shop at least once a week, the food is always great. We ate there last night and our waitress told us that Louie had added some things to the daily menu, Crab stuffed Flounder, Crab stuffed Shrimp and a steak, I ordered the stuffed Flounder, and was I ever pleased, it was undescribably good, can't wait to try the stuffed shrimp. Good job Louie!!!!“

“Eat at the Depot on Sundays on a regular basis. Always great food,staff and service. Best roast beef ever next to Mama's. And this is a big SHOUT OUT to the DEPOT!!!Another plus they have a drive around the restaurant for to go orders. This moves very well.Parking: All kinds of parking“

“Great local restaurant run by a group of wonderful ladies. Our friends and I were fortunate enough to find this little gem in a Google search and it did not disappoint. It’s located off the beaten path but just minutes off the main highway. Don’t be concerned when you turn down a street that takes you into a neighborhood area. Food was excellent and hot but the people made the experienceAsk them “what’s grits and gravy?” They’re likely to get a good laugh out of it.See you next time we’re near town ladies! “Tried this establishment out for lunch. They were busy but the staff was patient with me ordering for the first time here. I went up to the window to order. I got their chicken tenders and fries and famous honey mustard. Honey mustard was on point, the chicken was good but maybe the oil made it dark on some parts? Fries were good too.“

“Dinner was amazing! Guitar soloist entertained the lovely bistro. The pistachio encrusted halibut was delicious. I had them substitute rice for mixed vegetables. The portion was generous! We also had the strip with green beans and whipped potatoes. Best meal we have had in Shelby in sometime. The atmosphere was busting but not overcrowded. Will go back more often!“

“My party of three ordered a Jalapeño popper pizza, a Greek pizza and the Brisket pizza and all 3 were cooked to perfection. The crust was nice and crispy, the cheese was delicious and they added just the right amount of toppings. However, they sat us at a table that was not entirely clean. The seats had crayons left in them and there was trash on the floor. We did stop right after the lunch rush so maybe that is why things were disheveled. The food was delicious so I would give them another try.“

“Their food is wonderful. I am amazed especially with the steak. They don't cut corners when it comes to a great meal and getting full. The manager and staff and employees are always friendly and helpful. This is my number one go to spot for some big pieces of steak. That's the main thing I go there for. They have other great food as well... But your steak is great and mouthwatering... They give you a generous amount of food... And not no little piece of steak either... They give a big nice juice piece of whole steak which is great when you love steak and are hungry. I don't just love the steak, I also love the oakra and the sweet tea is very good too.. I highly recommend this place. Its located in Shelby NC. Try it out. You won't regret it. Their food is very good and you'll leave happy and full. ?“

“Food is as great! Customer service was ok. Loved that their sanitation rating was a 99% Don’t get me wrong. I love that they accept cash but they do not take debit or credit cards. I went there to take my clients out to eat. I was embarrassed that they had to pay because I do not carry cash all the time and today I happen to not have any. So they had to pay for me. I will be paying them back but if it was just me. I would have had to leave because I had no cash. I wonder how much business they lose. They should at least offer an atm so we have an option to get cash out. Prices are amazing! $28 for 3 burger baskets and 3 teas. That is cheap!“

“We loved our visit to Newgrass. We had enjoyed their smoothie sour beers in Raleigh for a while but it was great to be here in person. Loved the Nashville Chicken sandwich, the smash burger and the libations as well as the quaint town of Shelby.“

“You know the food joint is bout to be good when it’s sat beside a gas station. I got a cheeseburger basket with seasoned fries and man that burger was juicy & well seasoned, and those fries were sizzling hot. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Shelby“
