“Had a wonderful visit to RagApple Lassie vineyards. The wine was fantastic, the facilities are impressive.The owners are the nicest, down to earth people and have a great history to tell about the farm.Wine tasting was informative and educational and we struggled to choose which ones to purchase- ended up with a mixed case.“

“We stopped here this past Saturday morning (16 Nov) to grab coffee and snacks as a starting point to do some area driving as we consider a move from where we currently live (near Raleigh).

The shop is very clean (including the restrooms!), the menus clearly laid out, and the staff as friendly as you could hope for. We took a chance on some coffee drinks we don't normally go for, afraid that they might be too sweet, but they were perfect! We also tried a few pastries which we found out are locally produced and they were amazing, too.

I could write ten times as much about how much we enjoyed our visit with the owners and their staff, but all I really need to say is that if you're ever in that area and have an urge to get some great coffee (roasted in Wilkesboro) brought to you by some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet, in a comfortable, well-designed space, you'd be hard-pressed to find somewhere better than River Roast Coffee! We will definitely be back!“

“Great, picturesque little vineyard in the midst of a beautiful, winding labyrinth of country roads.I came here to pick some Chambourcin grapes and try the wine. I tried three whites and two reds, including the Chambourcin, and was blown away by the Traminette, the barrel-aged Chardonnay, and the Petit Verdot. The latter is a less-known grape despite being one of the original Bordeaux grapes, and it was a tannin bomb with loads of oaky goodness and a dark, inky, full body.The service was extremely personable— I always love when I can actually take the time to chat with the wine servers, who were very knowledgeable about all the wines.High recommendation!“

“We arrived in time for lunch (brought in from Shiloh General Store), tasted a few wines with friendly staff member, Bill, met one of the owners, and purchased a chilled bottle of the 22 Tangled Oak Blanc to go with our sandwiches. Despite it being a humid day in July, we found a comfortable spot under the covered area of the patio downstairs and overlooking the pond to eat. It was not uncomfortably hot although I do look forward to returning this fall if not before.“

“the wines were very good. The Riesling was our favorite. We brought some food from the Italian restaurant right up the road from the vineyard. We also took our dogs with us, they brought water out for them and were happy to have them there. We didn't purchase any but they did have some cheese and snacks that you can buy. we will definitely go back if we're in the area again.“
