“We had an excellent time here! Booked a reservation for a party of four and were immediately seated. Highly recommend starting with the pull-apart rolls, they were SO delicious! Ordered the NY strip steak with the brussel sprout risotto and it was fabulous. Prices here are also very fair given the location (Chapel Hill can be pretty pricey), I'd highly recommend this restaurant!“
“I’ve been to Gizmo several times before - it’s your standard brewery as any other. It’s got a nice layout inside. The location is also nice. The bartender was quick to take our order and provide us suggestions- they seemed knowledgeable about their beers. I had one of their stouts that was seasonal and it was nice.“
“i had a great time during lunch on my birthday yesterday & was pleased to not find an overabundance of ipa on tap!instead i discovered your amazing reserve beers (solera was a fave) i was also shown your solera barrel system behind the bar which may be the only beer aging system like it in the world. i wonder why this brewery is not on the cover of magazines & a must stop for international foodies & beer enthusiasts?i want to visit your brewery location sometime but for now i praise your decision for not making so many ipa's. i was impressed that your brewery has 2 cicerones (including 2nd level) & 1 more in the oven, hanot only is this the best beer i've had in the area since weeping radish, the food is amazing. the chef was outstandingly personable & explained that the reason the burrito beef melted in my mouth was that it was cooked in beer 16 hours, wow! the soft drinks were all fantastic natural flavours - it has been many years since i've had Birch Beer & possibly never on tap, but i also want to enjoy the ginger ale, orange vanilla & cream soda. the ice cream was made onsite & sourced from a local creamery. the lettuce comes from a small 2 acre farm.the only downside was the overwhelming music that intruded on conversation instead of being in the background where it belongsi plan to return soon, who can say no to free pinball on tuesdays?“
“We stopped at the Flying Bull after the Duke game. They have a really cozy outdoor dining/lounge area with fire pits at each table, which is where we sat.Everything we had was delicious…..roasted cauliflower, wings, salad, and wine. Service was spot on as well. We also heard the couple behind us commenting on how amazing the food was. We will definitely be back!!“
“Loved Latin dance night, super inviting crowd and organizers. Thanks to Florence for getting this solo rider on the dance floor for a couple hours. Eventually everyone was dancing. Music was authentic mixed with some club tunes. I enjoyed myself and made new friends. Very open and welcoming group. Look forward to the next time. Got a stout which was quite sweet for my preference ($8).“
“We popped in after a hike. Beer was good. Atmosphere nice. And we just tried the humus and it was so good! Best I’ve had. Then we eyed someone who ordered their special kale chips. And they gave them to us as I think they were ordering them for marketing pictures. They were awesome. So bottom line: nice brew pub with good food and not too expensive! Good experience overall !“
“Wow! What a selection of NA craft beers, wine, house-made kombucha, and other goodies! Carly and her lovely daughter will gladly show you around and introduce you to all the latest coolness. I definitely recommend this spot for non-drinkers, but also sober curious folks who want to give themselves a treat without the fuzzy head and hangover.“
