Ava Reviews
It’s has the most amazing pizza 🍕
The chef is great!
While in the Carolinas we made our way to Optimist Hall. One of the eateries that was chosen by the group was Ava’s Pizzeria.
I would like to preface this by saying I’m from New York and may be a little bias. Needless to say the cost for size was fair and the crust was solid. However the sauce and pizza itself was a bit bland.
My niece elected for a meatball sandwich (I didn’t not partake) she said it was ok. However, notable the meatball to bread ratio is...read full review

Ava Pizzaria offers a range of pizzas, including a vegan option and a popular sausage pizza. The vegan pizza has a good crust, but the vegan cheese could be improved. The sausage pizza, on the other hand, receives high praise for its rich, fresh cheese, aromatic fennel, and overall balance of flavors.
The pricing of the pizzas is comparable to fast-food chains, and the eating experience could be enhanced to maintain the integrity of the pizza slices. Despite some shortcomings, the restaurant has gained a new regular customer who appreciates the unique and delicious offerings.
The restaurant is located in Optimis Hall, a cool place with various vegan food vendors, and Ava is the only pizzeria. The pizza is described as decent, with a nice fresh thin crust sourdough base. However, the cheese and sauce could be improved, with the cheese being generic shredded and the sauce on the bland side. The vegan option, called "Vegana," is made in a stone oven and features a nice selection of vegetable toppings.
One issue raised by customers is the high price of a bottle of water, which is $4 for a pint and is described as tasting like tap water, not justifying the cost. Overall, Ava Pizzaria offers a good pizza experience, but there are some areas for improvement, particularly in the quality of the cheese and sauce, as well as the pricing of additional items.
