“the pistachio baklava latte was so good. TK is everything you could want in a proprietor ( friendly! helpful! generous!) I found this beloved neighborhood coffeehouse by looking online. I wanted somewhere I would feel comfortable lounging ( comfortable chairs and various rooms/spaces, warm, good zibe) and working. I was not looking for a sleek sterile coffeehouse. I loved it that people can draw or write on the walls and that even though this was done with sharpies, I didn't see any evidence of ill will or critiquing if others. I was offered a sharpie myself not long after I arrived. what a great place! I'll be back whenever I pass through Charlotte. did I mention that the pistachio baklava latte was delicious? real pistachios! just right sweetness.“

“On Friday 8/23, we came to The Crunkleton on a recommendation for my daughter’s birthday and we were NOT disappointed! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere and the staff were wonderful! We had Cole as our server and regardless of how busy it was that night, he made us feel like we were his only priority. He was very knowledgeable about your massive spirit selections and I mean massive! The food was fantastic and cooked to perfection. We got the Really Good Burger and let me tell you, we said medium and it was on point! It was very well seasoned which is rare when you go out to restaurants. Then to top off the night, my daughter got the beignets with the cold brew icing, WOW! I am a sweets person and these with that icing just WOW! Cole even put a candle on the rim of the dish because it was her birthday! So, you have our business any time we are in Charlotte! I just can’t say enough about our experience!!! You have a great place, amazing food, a wonderful spirits collection, and definitely not last or least a fantastic server in Cole!! Thank you for making my daughter’ s birthday and my first time in Charlotte such a great memory!!!“

“Refreshing Lunch Spot with Great Food and Service

On a random Tuesday while out adulting, I decided to stop by Maiz Agua Sal for a late lunch, and I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is refreshing and modern, with the tree at the entrance being a standout design feature—it sets a great tone for the dining experience. We were seated immediately, and the service throughout was superb. Our waitress was delightful and very knowledgeable about the menu, making the experience even better.

The complimentary chips and salsa were a hit, and the peanut salsa was a pleasant surprise. Trust me, don’t knock it until you try it! The guacamole was incredibly fresh, and the tacos were delicious. Their 3 for $10 taco special is a great deal, and each one was packed with flavor. I also tried the Huarache De Tinga, which was absolutely delicious.

I almost forgot to mention the churros—a perfect way to end the meal! They were a sweet, satisfying treat that tied the whole experience together.

Although I was only there for lunch, I’m already planning to return to enjoy their drinks and check out the cool fire pit outside. Maiz Agua Sal is a fantastic spot for great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommend!“

“Pizza baby West is our favorite Pizza / Restaurant in Charlotte and surrounding areas! They are not your run-of-the-mill pizza place. They serve a very unique variety of Pizza in Americana style. I am a native New Yorker and it's the closest I can get to back home. They source all natural, local, and imported ingredients and it shows in their food. Their menu is very unique and fresh and authentic Italian. Service is always great and staff are very friendly. But! They are now serving brunch on Saturday and Sundays and the menu is to die for! There is stuffed French toast made on fresh cinnamon brioche bread with a fresh sweet peach compote and syrup, eggs in purgatory with a very flavorful and zesty sauce, and the best breakfast pizza ever! There are sunny side up eggs baked right in and it is amazing to dip the yummy crust into the yolk, as well as sausage, a creamy base, and crispy hash brown potatoes. It is so different and unique and the flavors are just wonderful. They also have bagels and rolls and other baked breads. Oh and they have great cappuccino as well. You just got to try the brunch!“

“First, very large outdoor and indoor seating available. Over 50 or so brews on tap, as well as wine and liquor options. I had the steak burger with jalapeño slaw, which was ok. Burger was thin but tasty. Slaw wasn't any slaw I've ever seen, kinda dry. Overall, it's a better place to get a brew than food, in my opinion. Would definitely go back.“
