“My family and I decided to try New South, and I'm very glad we did. My mother-in-law ordered pork chop and absolutely loved it. My wife ordered the grilled flat iron steak; chef's kiss, especially with the sweet potato and bacon gratin. I had the fried chicken, which was pretty good, too. Salads were amazing, and MIL said the fried green tomatoes were the best she's ever had. Do yourself a favor - if you're looking for a solid, flavorful meal, check New South out. “Some of the best service I have had in Charlotte for 5 years that I've been here. Ciara and Casey make the place feel like home. Nini and nay make he kitchen taste like a cloud and heaven. The fried rice with pot roast is literally out of this world. Don't take my word for it go and taste it. They are always attentive and for a dive bar always equipped to not only handle but have the staff to get things done. I adore this place for making it feel like had somewhere to unwind when I felt the world was against me. So please check it out.“

“A night to remember at The McNinch House 🌹✨ Growing up, my Dad wasn’t just an industrial engineer—he was a hobby chef with serious skills. He spent his childhood in restaurants, and at home, he brought that magic to our table. I didn’t grow up eating “normal kid food,” and to this day, he’s the best cook I know. My love for food? 100% from him. The McNinch House has been on my list for over a decade—and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Executive Chef Eric O’Connor, who joined just a year ago, blew us away. We had the 4-course tasting menu (I truly don’t know how people survive the 5-course!), and every dish was a standout: *Corn & Clam Chowder – the cream is everything *Bone Marrow – best I’ve ever had *Lamb Lollipops (my husbands) – best I’ve ever had; perfectly cooked *Pork Wellington (my husbands) – the basil took it over the top *Snapper Succotash – the bacon made it *Crème Brûlée – perfectly done From the surprise oyster starter (cool presentation served in a shell over ice) to the palate-cleansing sorbet between courses, every detail was thoughtful and special. Chef Eric personally served our entrée—how cool is that? The service was impeccable, with a main server and 2-3 others helping throughout. At the end, they even handed me a freshly picked rose from their garden. 💐 We dined in a historic 1800s home filled with charm, and afterward strolled through the garden—flowers everywhere, twinkle lights, fountains, and the Charlotte skyline in view. I had to ask for the chef’s autograph and a photo—he’s just that good. We told him he deserves a star, and he smiled and said, “We’re on the list.” So now I’m shouting from the rooftops: let’s help make that Michelin star happen! He absolutely deserves it. Thank you, Chef Eric and the entire McNinch House team, for one of the most enchanting, romantic, and memorable meals I’ve ever had in Charlotte. Our waitress Marissa is one of the best waitresses I have come across. From the time we sat down until we left. Her customer service was 10/10. She engaged with my six year old daughter. Even when she was being extra talkative. She still engaged with her every time. To the point where my daughter loved talking to her every time she came to the table and walked by. I would say the vibe is nice....however, don't come here if you don't want to hear loud music and see dancing while eating. Our waiter was very sweet and we felt welcomed at the door by security and the hostess. Some cons were they don't give you big portions for the amount of money you spend.but the chicken and waffles were very good. My drink was just ok. Overall, I would come back again 😉“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cuzzo Cuisine, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable culinary experience! Nestled in the heart of the university area, this gem offers a vibrant atmosphere that perfectly complements its outstanding menu.
My daughter order the fried shrimp and lobster, and I was blown away by the freshness and flavor. The shrimp were perfectly crispy, while the lobster had a delightful tenderness that made each bite absolutely amazing!

The mac & cheese, which was nothing short of heavenly. Creamy, cheesy, and baked to perfection, it was a comforting side that paired beautifully with the seafood. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and it truly felt like a homemade dish that warms the soul.

The chicken and shrimp combo was another highlight. The chicken and shrimp bowl was served over a bed of rice inside of the half cut pineapple. Proportion size pineapples added twist to this dish, which was amazing. It was a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The combination of tropical flavors was refreshing and complemented the heartier dishes beautifully.

Lastly, I can't forget to mention the flounder fish. It was light, flaky, and seasoned just right. The freshness of the fish really shone through, making it a delightful end to my meal.

Overall, Cuzzo Cuisine exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was inviting. If you're in the Charlotte area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal that will leave you craving more. Five stars all the way!“
