“Fonda Cactus is the best authentic Mexican food in the area. I always get their Quesabirrias because they are just so delicious! The owners are very nice, caring people. This is an all-around fabulous place to eat.“

“They have the best skinny margaritas in Bryson City, and we know because we tested skinny margaritas at all three this past Saturday! It's funny how testing them all in one day made it a clear as a side by side test. Hands down!4 Queens had the best and the view from the patio was just icing in the cake!“

“My wife and I have been here four or five times in the past couple years when we have visited Bryceson city and every time has been great food, carne asada is my favorite and the service is always very friendly and fast, I wish the Mexican restaurants in Florida were this good.“

“The quesadillas are amazing! Just be sure if you order online, say one quesadilla instead of two even though the menu says two. I ended up with two meals. Which was not a problem at all for me. I had dinner that night and lunch the next day. But if you're on a budget and only want one meal, be sure to clarify only one.“

“We were in town for Polar Express and found the food in the area left a lot to be desired. We ended up here on a whim because my kids love Mexican food, and it was probably our best meal while in town. Service was quick, no wait, and the food was good. Our only hangup is that we ordered traditional chicken tacos, and were brought pork. It was fine with me, but we did get the kids swapped out for Chicken. The downside was it took quite a while, my husband and I were finished eating before the kids food came out. Regardless everyone's food was very good. After eating a lot of mediocre meals in town my kids were thrilled with their lunch here.“

“Excellent food, reasonable prices, large portions, very good service. We went to El Patron on a busy Friday night. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which was very reasonable for a busy Friday. We were greeted promptly, received our drink order quickly, and our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Our food arrived hot and was exactly how we ordered it. One minor complaint was the queso was very runny and would pretty much drip off of the tortilla chips back into the bowl or onto the table. It tasted fine, but was very thin. Overall, a great experience and we'll be back.“
