“Met Jeff at a wedding festival in January. Tried the pork with his sauce and it was absolutely delicious. We tried other places but we ended up coming back to Hit the Pit. Jeff had us come for a tasting and I couldn't help but notice that he has a 100 health score. On top of that, everything he prepared for us was amazing. His sauces are fantastic, the meat is tender and juicy, and the sides are awesome too. We decided to have him cater our wedding, and we are so glad we did. Everyone loved everything and we were so pleased. Jeff is the sweetest guy you'll ever work with also. 10/10 would recommend.“

“This was our second time there and it was as amazing as the first time that we ate there. One thing I can speak on is the consistency. Many times we run into a restaurant that we enjoy and go back again and the quality is just not the same. Ingredients are fresh and of good quality. Staff is amazing, friendly and accommodating! We also ordered key lime pie to go but it didn't make it out of the restaurant. Highly recommend!!!“

“Me and my partner ordered tha malinois tacos as well as the dog with pretzel bites, potato salad and their okra fingers and they did not disappoint! Best gator I’ve had in a long time and their homemade mustard is off the chain! They also REFUSED to charge since I was an employee at the business they parked at in Bryson City “

“Great tacos! I love the steak tacos here. Probably the best I have had. Their green sauce is perfect too. Most places around here the green sauce is so hot you can't even eat it. But Jose's green sauce is not too hot. The line sometimes is horrendous but that's because their food is great. Order ahead if you are able to, to keep from standing around waiting for your order.“
