I’m a long time Smittys customer and former employee of the original owners. I love to support local businesses, however Smittys has drastically gone down hill. Prices are almost double what they were pre covid, the quality is not what it use to be. You could go there and you knew what to expect from the quality. On my last visit it was icy and freezer burnt. I couldn’t get a pup cup for my dog (she loved them) and there is a lot less ice cream in the cup. I love cake...read full review
Ordered it off door dash. Received a pint with METAL in it. My husband almost cracked his tooth abs could have done a lot more damage. Called the Elon location over 5 times and each time they said a manager would call back. NOONE returned our phone call, so when a few weeks passed I emailed the corporate email. My husband got a call but missed it. He called right back and left a detailed message and no answer or return call from Smittys since. Will never eat there again.
The ice cream is great, but the people at Smitty’s are even better! Love all their locations!
