“To me, the mark of a great BBQ joint is their brisket ... and ... well ... Smithfields does not have brisket. But, what they lack in fully embracing the full spectrum of BBQ, they make up with their pulled pork. Tender, juicy and bursting with that Carolina tang! Loved it!!! But of course you have to lean into that vinegar side of BBQ ... and for me I am full tilt.
And ... the Brunswick Stew was def worth the taste. Heavy in pork ...light in veggies ... but hey, what's wrong with that - right?“

“Still the great place it’s been over the last four decades we’ve been going! And, recent menu and pricing changes (2024 to 2025) have made it an even better experience versus last year, simplified and many things with a lower price!! The best part, the food is as good as ever!!!“
