“The Sierra Nevada brewery is awesome! First off the facility is absolutely fantastic. It’s large but the building and the entire campus are immaculately clean & well kept. It still looks brand new. The tour itself was excellent providing great historical content & insight into their state of the art current operations. Following up the tour with a visit to the Taproom restaurant is a must. The food is phenomenal & the service is top notch. Finally, it was so enjoyable to finish the day with a beer on the patio. I give the Sierra Nevada brewery tour & Taproom my highest recommendation. Can’t wait to take other friends for a visit.“

“My server’s name was TiAnna and I will say that she is one of the best that I have ever met.Not only does she have a great smile, but her personality matches it perfectly. I watched her as she waited on other tables and she treated them all with same amount of respect and curiosity. I also think she would make a great bartender, because if she does ever becomes a bartender I would probably become an alcoholic.“

“This restaurant took me back to Berlin and Augsburg from my old Army days! We ordered the pork schnitzel with German potato salad and rot kraut as well as a German salad. The meal was delicious!! The portion sizes were awesome and we took food home for a second meal. Our waitress was Morgan and she was friendly and very attentive! She is a real star in this friendly place. My only disappointment was my apple strudel. I like mine pretty simple with apples and phyllo dough. Today it was full of raisins and walnuts as well as the apples and dough plus creamy vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.\nThis is a great place to eat a genuine German meal and feel the ambience of this faraway place!“

“If you really do want the best fried chicken, look no further! I got mine with the pimento cheese -YUM! My hubby is more a burger kind of guy, and he loves a good burger here. The potato salad, and the pickles add just the right balance. The food service gas station combo is a thing around here and we love exploring this unique set-up. This one is close to home, and when we take a break from farm chores, it just checks all the boxes.“

After talking with the owner you can tell he has a passion for his home food. He was a chef In the Middle East and everything is home made and hand made. Even his grape leaves take 10 hours to make. This is the best middle eastern food in town hands down… I wish he would change the storefront to better represent his quality of food. !!! “We’ve had Italian from the West Coast to the East Coast - this is definitely worth the stop! I had the chicken parm and my wife had the baked ziti. I was a huge fan of the chicken, it was fantastic! The sauce was a bit acidic, while I prefer hints of sweet sauce instead. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area. I’d like to try the Sunday Gravy next time!“

“Some of the best pizza in Asheville and the best staff!!! FYI this is NOT affiliated with Asheville Brewing Co on Merrimon Ave or Coxe Ave. The pizza here is SOOOOOO much better, so make sure you don’t get them confused. I almost didn’t go because I’ve had ABC pizza and been disappointed so many times I stopped going but this place absolutely slaps!! Their pizza of the month is always worth a trip!“

“We've been getting a carry-out pizza from Standard almost every year since we began traveling to Asheville back in 2014. We agonized a bit about visiting this year given the catastrophic impacts from Helene late last year, but decided it would be OK ATC since responsible tourists' dollars might be duly welcomed within the community. The pizza I picked up there was as awesome as ever, and I savored each slice while chomping down at the table in our rented cabin at Willow Winds! We'll definitely keep Standard on our must-do list for all future trips! :-)“

“We visit Pops Diner yearly on our annual Fall Break vacation. The food is always great, and the portions are large. This year was not our best experience. We visited twice—once at breakfast and once at lunch. Both times our waitress seemed to be overly busy. Drinks sat unfilled and condiments were forgotten. The food also took an unusually long time to reach our table. Lunch was the most unexpected. Our table asked for A1 and our waitress stated that they only had the packs which would be $1 EACH after the first pack. I know everything is expensive, and believe me I get making a profit on food. However, $1 for each package of A1 seems excessive to me. Why not offer bottled A1 just like ketchup? We ended up trying a new diner in town after our less than expected experience.“

“Over the last 2 days I’ve tried all their beers except the IPAs. I’m just not a fan of IPAs.
All their beers were great, especially nice were the Mud Creek Milk Stout and the Brown Ale. The cherry Vanilla Milk Stout was good but a little too sweet for me.
First time I ever tried a sour or fruity beer and they, Rhubarb Strawberry Blonde and the Milk Shake Blueberry Mango sour, were both very good and not too sweet.
Friendly bartender and locals, good conversation. The second night was trivia, I didn’t do very well but it was fun.
I think the best thing about the place, though, is the owner lets RVs stay overnight. Because of this I was able to experience a couple of the local restaurants, the ones I enjoyed I left reviews on their sites.
Evan is really doing a community service letting RVs stay so they can experience more in Hendersonville than just one night at his brewery.“
