“Reviewers often disappoint me. I often wonder about their motives. I am a huge fan of Thai cooking, as well as other Asian dishes. The food here is authentic and absolutely delicious. No, it is not cheap, but it is "fair" considering the quality and service you are receiving. (In life, you usually get what you pay for.) Nice quiet bar if you like. The overall atmosphere is awesome. Great location at White Oak shopping center in Garner. Give it a try! It can be spicy. I usually get the 4-star wherever I go. Here I dropped down 2-star. And it is still amazing. I really like the Korean BBQ spring rolls over the regular spring rolls. The Green and Panang Curry dishes are delicious. Two friends bragged about the Pad Kee Moo (Drunken Noodle)“

“Everything here so delicious flavorful, and fresh it delighted my taste buds. I think my biggest disappointment in this whole meal was the drink. It was just average for the price, whereas the seafood salad that I got was delightful and refreshing and full of seafood, the papaya and duck salad that I had was enough for two people. It was filling it. It was well executed the flavors and the melody was delicious and refreshing. You didn't feel heavy after the meal which I think is amazing. my companion had the curry dish and said it tasted just like homemade she portions are big enough to share.“

“This place was highly recommended. It was good, not exceptional. First off, coming in as a single person they immediately said sit at the bar. Okay, even though they had long table seating, I guess the bar is fine. I ended up at the end of the bar, which was dimly lit and by the kitchen. Fine. The food is really good. It is. The soup dumplings and curry bao were great; however, the price was quite steep for what they give you. I've had better dumplings and bao for far less. This might be an unfair review as possibly there isn't a lot of competition in Raleigh for these items. Fair enough. Again, the food was really good--just hard to justify for the price. Great beer selection though!“

“The restaurant was lovely and energetic, all of the staff seemed friendly and enjoying being there. We ordered edamame with Himalayan sea salt and truffle oil as well as the pork dumplings as starters and 2 cocktails that were recommended by our waitress. All were fantastic, the edamame wasn't overly French in truffle oil or salt but perfectly balanced, the dumplings were delicious. I had a cucumber tequila cocktail that was refreshing and delicious would highly recommend. For sushi we ordered an assortment of rolls, salmon & lemon, cali crunch, angry salmon, and the Akira. We loved all of them, the angry salmon and salmon & lemon I would say were the stand out favorites. We highly recommend O-ku.“

“We were first blown away with the ambiance. Felt like we stepped into another world. We were seated quickly. We went around 7pm on a Saturday. I'm not sure if we got lucky or not but we were able to walk right in and get seated. They do take reservations. The staff was very nice and helpful 100% of the time. My niece was with us and while they do not have a kids menu, they were prepared to concoct something that she would enjoy. Luckily, thanks to youtube, she has been wanting to try dumplings and enjoyed the Chicken & Garlic Wontons. She loved them. The food overall was delicious. They brought out an abundance of sauces and that is always a win for me because I'm the sauce Queen. I'm not sure about parking because we parked at the place we originally came downtown for earlier in the day. I did not see easy parking close by, just street parking. I recommend this restaurant for date night, trying something new, or girls night. Try it! You won't be disappointed.“

“I visited here recently just to try their Korean fried chicken and it was totally worth it. Their classic Soga wings are the best! I also loved their ambience, it gives a very comfy and home vibe. I will definitely visit again for their Soga wings!“

“It’s nice to have personal hotspot in Raleigh finally without driving to cart or Morrisville. I ordered the Sichuan Mala hotpot, the broth was delicious and came with great assortment of hotpot items. The hotpot container came with alcohol lamp underneath to keep the soup warm the whole time while eating it, just need to be careful if you are with young children. The portion was great for one person, it can be shared with two if you order some side dishes. The interior was nice and clean, will definitely be back soon!“

“Nestled discreetly in the heart of Eastern Raleigh, Chuan Cafe is a culinary treasure waiting to be discovered. Situated conveniently close to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Raleigh on New Bern Avenue, this quaint eatery was recommended to me by my children, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations.Upon entering, I was enveloped in a wave of nostalgia, reminiscent of cherished memories from my childhood. The ambiance exudes simplicity and warmth, with an unassuming interior design that instantly puts one at ease. It's the kind of place where you feel like you've come home, even if it's your first visit. Now, let's talk about the food - simply put, it's phenomenal. Every dish on the menu is crafted with care and precision, resulting in flavors that dance on your palate and leave you craving for more. One standout dish that stole the show for me was the beef stew soup with noodles. From the moment it arrived at the table, I knew I was in for a treat. The aroma alone was enough to whet my appetite, but it was the first sip of the rich, flavorful broth that truly captured my heart. Each spoonful was a symphony of taste, with tender chunks of beef, perfectly cooked noodles, and an assortment of aromatic spices that left me utterly speechless. Even after I had finished every last drop, my mouth continued to water at the mere memory of its exquisite flavor. In addition to the beef stew soup, Chuan Cafe offers a diverse range of culinary delights to suit every palate. Whether you're in the mood for savory stir-fries, comforting noodle dishes, or tantalizing appetizers, there's something on the menu to satisfy every craving.Parking: The restaurant offers many parking spaces for its patrons.Wheelchair accessibility: It has reserved spaces for people with wheelchairs.“

“Easy street or lot parking (paid). Across from the Raleigh bus station. Nice relaxing vibe. Plenty of small plate/ app options. You can easily customize any drink. Black milk tea and strawberry tea with popping peach boba was great. Medium or small size for tea options. Tried the crab Rangoon, pop corn chicken and veggie egg rolls. All came out piping hot with complimentary sauces. I will come back here again.“

“Ordered masala dosa for take out. As I didn't notice because I was taking it, they gave it without masala. The next day I went to the restaurant and before I could ask her, she said she owed me because she forgot the masala for yesterday's order. I like their service. Dosa is good, not “

“Decided to give this place a try.Service was good and prompt. Food was not too bad. Has the calamari, shrimp Tom yum, Thai basil chicken, special salmon roll and the green roll.Calamari was a little overcooked - tough. The rest of food was good.I am unsure if they would allow us to choose the spice level of the food. But that would honestly be ideal if it could be done. Will definitely be back again!“

“We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly, attentive and knowledgable of mixed drinks and the menu. She offered suggestions and recommendations on the food and drinks. We visited during Happy Hour which featured half-price entrees. We ordered the mango summer rolls, crispy edamame spring rolls, crispy rice and the firecracker roll. DELISH! If you like good food, creative craft cocktails and great service, give this place a try!“

“First time we have visited this restaurant, but not the first time tasting their food. So, here goes. Quaint. Tidy, and tucked away in a college neighborhood. All great things. Was there a wait to be seated? There was not - but, that didn't mean this wasn't a great spot for dinner. Our first course was (of course) their hot soups. I had Wonton and my husband had David's Hot & Sour. So good. We ordered Jasmine tea - took awhile to steep, but isn't that always the way with tea? After soup, we had Fried Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Rolls. These were good, and we also had David's Original Half-Fried Dumplings. You get five of these big guys. We split the Sesame Chicken and Beef Lo Mein Egg Noodles. Even the steamed rice was delicious. Tender chunks of chicken in a sweet sauce with small stalks of broccoli, and the beef was tender and easy to chew. I would have to say that their portions were small. We did not take anything home with us (at other Asian places, and for the amount of money we spent, we would get a second at-home meal). Not the case here. You get fresh, hot food or average portion size, and you leave what's left (empty plates). Staff were accommodating. We were told at the time that their systems were acting slowly, so in order to process our order, everything had to be entered all at once. My husband and I are never rushed, and we don't enjoy everything coming out of the kitchen at once. However, we were informed of what they were doing to get hot food out to us. We appreciated this information. I would say, "go here and try it!" The "industrial" decor is fitting for its location. Everything is casual - even the person seating us wore jeans and sneakers. We will go back, and bring others with us.“

“One of the best, if not the best, bang for your buck downtown Raleigh lunch. For less than $11 they will stack a tray full of rice, chicken, and 2 spring rolls. Can't beat the amount of food for the price in downtown Raleigh. Also I would not give it 5 stars if it was bad food. It is pretty pretty good. Sesame chicken and general tso really hit the spot. I recommend this place.Don't order online like the bad reviews I've seen having bad experiences with that. Just walk in. It takes less than a minute to get a tray and pay“

“I was quite impressed with the quality of the food. Great flavor and the tuna wasn't fishy at all. A bit pricey but nothing insane. You can't sit down so tough to enjoy the food without having to drive somewhere else to eat. It was my first time there so I wish the staff would have been more engaging.“

“I came up to the counter for my first try! Israel *forgive me if I spell it wrong* even offered to let me sample the protein I might be interested in! The atmosphere is really nice with great music. For what you're getting it's WELL worth the price. They've got plenty of options for if you might be vegetarian *not sure about vegan though*. All the workers were really nice! Stop on by!Ask for Israel if he's there. He's a very kind person who knows his stuff ?For reference I got the Seoul box!“
