Of course the food was the usual McDonald's food, decent but nothing spectacular. But you get fast food for the convenience, and it was very quick and convenient this time around, which is something fast food has been straying away from in recent years.“

“We have been getting Duck donuts here at the original store since 2011. Yesterday I went in to get our first order of the vacation week. We always vacation last week of August and it usually includes my son’s bday. He’ll be 17 on Saturday and heads off to college in a year. We told him we will pause OBX next summer since we don’t know exactly where he’ll go to college. I literally cried ordering my donuts yesterday to the owner and how much Duck OBX has met to our family memories for 13 years! Duck is all about traditions to us. Sunrise, sunsets, crabbing, and of course Duck Donuts! We have loved watching this business turn in to a national franchise. What a beautiful success story. 🍩 🍩🍩🍩“

We went back for breakfast every day on our vacation after discovering Northern Lights and everything consistently exceeded my expectations.“
