“Food is good, chips are mediocre, service was decent.
I wasn't expecting the interior to be themed like it was and it was very nice. Especially for a hole in the wall place.
Waitress kind of made me wait forever to get my check so I could pay and leave.“

“I love the vibe and energy here at Friendly more than the other Rio Grande's. Eveyone is always so nice and kind. Francisco at the front knows my name and can guess what I am going to order before I even place it. KUDOS and 5 stars all around for everyone at the Downwind location!! THE BEST!“

“First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don’t even like mole sauce, but I couldn’t stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninja finals come to town.“

“Had the Pork Belly Tacos, Pastor Tacos and the Shrimp Empanadas with that Cucumber Lime drink situation. All of it was great to start. Can't name too many that use the blue corn tortilla, I love it.“

“One of the best experiences I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant. Although several others are wonderful in the area also. Service was perfect and the waitstaff were so friendly. We were a group of 6 and everything was served quickly, hot, and at the same time! Josephina was our waitress and she was delightful!“

“We absolutely love the food, the patio, and the menu with crayons for kids. It is one of our go-to spots in town. My only suggestion is to check the bag before you leave (if you get takeout) and make sure your chips are there. We’ve had a few issues with chips missing.“

“I recently went here with my company. There were about 30 of us there. The servers did a great job tending to all us despite our large party. The bar tender was great too! We did not all get there at the same time and they still allowed us to order drinks prior to being served at the table. The food and drinks were great. I ordered a Quesadilla Texana, it comes witch Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp. Additionally, my Coworker and I split a Texas Margarita Pitcher. It was $35 for the pitcher and it was well worth it. All in all we had a great experience and I will definitely be returning.“

“We had the occasion of dining there last evening> It was a very excellent ex[erience. When we left the restaurant, we found that we had a flat tire> 2 of your employees were kind enough to take there time and changed the tire for the spare. They went above and beyond to help and it is greatly appreciated<. I can't thank you enough“

“Just an overall amazing place. I've tried every burrito on the menu, and they are all very good. My favorites were San luis wet burrito, the burrito Texana, and the fajita steak burrito. The best refried beans I've ever had and the red and green sauces are very good. Sizeable proportions, too. It's easily the best mexican spot I've had in greensboro“
“Amazing authentic Mexican food. Service was fast and very friendly. Menu has a lot of options for food and beverages. Portion size is also really good.Lots of seats available with booth options and also clean restrooms available the back. Location may seem sketchy but it felt very safe.“

“We came in for dinner for dinner this evening and we almost positive the service was gonna be slow bc of how busy the restaurant was… but in came Gabby! She is INCREDIBLE and so so so attentive! She was super busy but we would have never known that if we hadn’t seen the number of customers there. Our drinks never sat empty and our food was brought out so fast! Salsa was always full too! She handled it like a boss! Great food, great service and great atmosphere! Thanks Gabby! We’ll be back to see you soon!“

“The food is absolutely delicious. When ordering take out during lunch time you may be sitting there for a longer than necessary period of time. They walked right past me with my food when taking it to the register then didn't tell me my food was up there until 10 minutes later. I also dined in about 2 weeks later at a later time around 3pm and food came out quickly still just as delicious.“

“I’ll start by saying this is not a Mexican food place. More Central American hence pupusas, although they cater to some Mexican tastes for sure. It’s your standard small mom and pop hole in the wall eatery/grocer. The prices are a little higher on the food than normal but I personally enjoy the pupusas throughly.“
“This Mexican grill embodies the vibrant flavors of Latin cuisine in every dish. From sizzling fajitas to zesty tacos, the menu is a fiesta of flavors. The lively ambiance, coupled with the colorful décor, adds a touch of Mexico's spirit to each dining experience.“

“I’ve been here 2 days in a row now on my lunch break from work. Oh my gosh. EVERYTHING Is Homemade. And I think I had a foodgasm 😂 it was so good. First time I went had the chicken wings honey mustard flavor. WOW 🤯 they were beyond excellent second time I went had the chicken tortilla again exceed my expectations. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻“
“Diamond in the rough in this area. Got a chicken gyro and a philly cheesesteak. A lot of people complain about not enough meat, but from my experience it had a perfect amount of meat.
Honestly delicious, go if you can. I know I'll be back for sure.“

“Tonight was my family’s first time eating at El Alebrije ! Food was hot and fast! Queso had just enough of a kick to it . The plates are huge! I got an ACP and could have easily split it with my husband. Price of our meal was great too for a family of 5!“
