“Popped in w/o reservation on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated right away. Our server was knowledgeable and efficient. Though just opened from the devastation of Helene, the food was fresh and hot to the table with a very short wait. We both had samplers. one sausage and the other a schnitzel variety. The entree and sides were delicious. We lived in Germany for seven years and the food was spectacularly authentic, even down to the broetchen in the bread basket, crunchy on the outside and softly chewy inside. “We visit Pops Diner yearly on our annual Fall Break vacation. The food is always great, and the portions are large. This year was not our best experience. We visited twice—once at breakfast and once at lunch. Both times our waitress seemed to be overly busy. Drinks sat unfilled and condiments were forgotten. The food also took an unusually long time to reach our table. Lunch was the most unexpected. Our table asked for A1 and our waitress stated that they only had the packs which would be $1 EACH after the first pack. I know everything is expensive, and believe me I get making a profit on food. However, $1 for each package of A1 seems excessive to me. Why not offer bottled A1 just like ketchup? We ended up trying a new diner in town after our less than expected experience.“

“Over the last 2 days I’ve tried all their beers except the IPAs. I’m just not a fan of IPAs.
All their beers were great, especially nice were the Mud Creek Milk Stout and the Brown Ale. The cherry Vanilla Milk Stout was good but a little too sweet for me.
First time I ever tried a sour or fruity beer and they, Rhubarb Strawberry Blonde and the Milk Shake Blueberry Mango sour, were both very good and not too sweet.
Friendly bartender and locals, good conversation. The second night was trivia, I didn’t do very well but it was fun.
I think the best thing about the place, though, is the owner lets RVs stay overnight. Because of this I was able to experience a couple of the local restaurants, the ones I enjoyed I left reviews on their sites.
Evan is really doing a community service letting RVs stay so they can experience more in Hendersonville than just one night at his brewery.“

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!“

“Great place, lots of great beer and great venue for music/bands rain or shine. They have a big stage outside and a smaller one inside. Dog friendly too. Try the Black Bear on tap, if you like darker beer that one is great. Saw the Trophy Husbands band play there and they were awesome! Don't miss! Pizza food truck that night was too pricy but still good.“

Health rating was posted on the front window--94.5. My search for authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex led me here. This place is hard to find. It's a food truck next to a gas station with a sign out front that says "Food Center" in the very small town of Dana. They have some outside picnic tables to sit at. I'll be back to try some other menu items.“

“Shout out to Dixie Diner in Hendersonville! My Egg White Omelette was filled to the brim with Goat Cheese and Mushrooms. The mushrooms were nice large slices with a perfect amount of goat cheese. Expertly created by Chef McKenzie at the Dixie Diner in Hendersonville, NC. My English Muffin was toasted to perfection. The girl has talent! It was absolutely AMAZING! I ate it slow so I could relish every single bite. Today, Hayley was our waitress extraordinaire. We enjoy having our Sunday breakfast at Dixie. Their food is always cooked just right with picture perfect presentation. You definitely eat with your eyes first at Dixie. The entire staff knows what they are doing and they put a lot of care into their food and service. Dixie truly cares about their customers. You become their family when you have breakfast or lunch at Dixie. Very welcoming and sincere. It definitely takes a village to make a restaurant great. “Party of 3 for lunch. Nice ambiance with the fireplace going. Food was great. I had French onion soup and a shrimp po'boy sandwich, served with fries. . Both were daily specials. My wife and her mom had a BLT, Caesar salad, and soup. All portions were a good size. Everything was perfectly prepared. One complaint; all of the food came out at once. I would suggest serving the soup first and allowing time to finish that before bringing the next course. I had their Petit Verdot and highly recommend it. All in all, a good experience and will definitely return.“

“For some reason maybe the time of day not sure but on this visit we were disappointed lots of the food was dried out. The eggdrop soup appeared watered down, and lots of choices were empty and not filled until after we had finished .the fried stuff all tasted like seafood and I don't do seafood Chinese only chicken and beef but usually it's very good and I will give it another try below I will tag my favorites from other visits“

“Stopped in for a quick bite on our way home to Pennsylvania. It was decent service, quick ordering. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. The price you can’t beat either… $16 for 2 people, plus a $4 tip. Very reasonable. Fresh food as well!“

“Me and my husband love going here for a quick lunch when I’m on my lunch break. The very first time we were there it was amazing so we decided to make this our occasional quick lunch spot when I’m working to far to go home. Downside is that they charge for every little thing.
My husband ordered me an orange soda because they were out of sprite when I was running late. It was okay not a big deal. I finished my first drink and asked the waitress if I could switch to a dr. Pepper instead.
She left and came back and told me In order to switch my drink I had to pay for another drink. ?? (But it comes from the same fountain, and they take your cup to refill it) I’m not fancy or needy by any means and didn’t mind alittle orange in my Dr Pepper.
But I wasn’t going to pay to switch my drink. Other than this the food is great. Service can be better, we still leave good tips but this definitely put a damper on one of our favorite places.“
