“We were in town visiting family. Thankful they shared such a good find with us. All our meals were great, prepared well and tasty. The service was good. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Also... SHOUT OUT to the girl who was working the pick up orders. She was KICKING BUTT out there! We ate inside, but definitely recognized how hard she was working! Light blond hair and braids... if she served you and you didn't tip... shame on you. She was working hard with a smile on her face, hustlin! Thank you!!“

“Looked for a winery near our weekend getaway house in Tryon, NC. This winery is the BEST experience I've had, and I've toured many in CA. You can't beat the outdoor view, the ambiance, and the wine. You think when trying flights you might have a few hits or misses...but not here! Seriously, I liked all but one wine, these were that good. Their winemaker is top notch. The wines are not even that expensive - amazingly priced in fact. I have tasted wines that cost 2x this amount and aren't anywhere NEAR as good!

And the staff was honestly the best of all. Briana helped us at our table and brought her humor, warmth and wine knowledge A-game. She let us sample a few wines with her recommendations and questioning on what we liked generally - and ALL her recommended ones were on point, even 2 wines I wouldn't have considered!

We were enjoying ourselves so much we stayed for hours, watching the sun set and listening to live music. We ordered a delicious charcuterie to pair with our wine flights - and in the end we bought 3 bottles of wine, and joined their no-pressure wine club. With the drive being only 2 hours from our house, it's a no-brainer that we will come back to try and buy their wines.

Lastly, but not least, the general manager came by our table to greet and thank us for coming. We raved about our experience and told him we chose Mountain Brook Vineyards for our 20th wedding Anniversary weekend getaway (from the kids, haha). He GAVE us another bottle of wine to celebrate us! We were so floored at the kindness.

“Nana's is the friendliest cafe in the Tryon, Landrum, and Columbus area. It is also one of the few places serving breakfast daily. Great home-cooked food at very reasonable prices. Kristy, the owner, is a real sweetheart, managing to greet everyone with a smile while keeping every table happy and coffee cups filled, even with every table filled. Daily specials for lunch. Don't miss the Taco Salad on Fridays.“

“Make a reservation. You will be asked when you are greeted at the door if you have a reservation, we didn't know and we were asked as soon as we stepped foot in the door. Set the tone. We were excited to try this place as we are long time supporters of NC wine makers, and it's a beautiful place but alas we will venture on down the mountain.

“Personally I have a mini checklist for a cafe to be good, this place hit it all.

1. the vibes are good, tons of space for groups to gather and talk.
2. Coffee is good, you got all the basics and specials.
3. The blueberry cheesecake 🫐
4. Couches, it’s a weird thing but I love to see soft seating options besides just wooden chairs.
5. Decor, it’s very well decorated with plants and good style.

Health rating was posted on the front window--94.5. My search for authentic Mexican or Tex-Mex led me here. This place is hard to find. It's a food truck next to a gas station with a sign out front that says "Food Center" in the very small town of Dana. They have some outside picnic tables to sit at. I'll be back to try some other menu items.“
