“Nothing like a fresh bowl of grits with some eggs and toast late at night. Only one place can deliver that experience flawlessly, and it's Waffle House. If you're looking for something new to freshen up your orders, try the T-Bone and eggs, or maybe a pork chop. Those items aren't well known so they're usually made very fresh.”

“It takes a while to get helped through the drive thru, but other than that, I don't have any issues! My order is correct each time and comes out hot. The area is a bit sketchy at night, but there's not much of an option when you need a late night meal.”

I witnessed a staff member being rude to another customer during my inside visit. The atmosphere was chaotic and the employees were stressed. Order was right when finally received.”

My only complaint would be that last time we were here, someone at the table next to us had a dog in a tote bag that was most definitely NOT a service animal. Not one staff member said anything to her. This is a problem for me as I suffer from severe animal allergies. In addition, I don’t feel it is sanitary to bring animals in an establishment where food is being sold/served. Like I said, we love this place, but if this becomes a habit we will have to find another place to go. ☹️”

“We had an amazing experience at the downtown Greensboro location! It was our first time in, my friends had taken me out to kick off my birthday week. We all ordered crunch cheesecakes off the suggested menu, but they happened to be out of the apple pie flavor I ordered. The owner, Tanya, came out and gave me her number to call and let her know the next time I was coming and she would fix me a free one since they were out! I have never had someone offer to do this and it was the kindest gesture. My friends and I ended up sitting and talking long enough that the apples were finished cooking and Tanya made me a fresh one to take home! It was a wonderful surprise and so greatly appreciated! I would recommend this amazing shop to anyone and everyone! The atmosphere is so welcoming, it feels like you dropped by a family member’s house for a treat. Please go visit them immediately!”

“I thought I would never again taste food like my Aunt Hattie made it, but today a friend took me to University Kitchen for lunch, and I had green beans, stewed cabbage, fried chicken livers, and cornbread. It was like going back in time to my Aunt Hattie's kitchen and once again tasting good old country cooking at its best. They have managed to keep those great vintage recipes alive, and I now have a new favorite restaurant. Everyone who worked there was amiable and on top of service. It was great!”

“J I wish you had reached out so we could figure out what went wrong. First of all I didnt have a wedding in November for 125 guest. I had several for 100 guest which makes since if you had 85 show up. We always have plenty of food for your guest. If you had 85 guest, lets then figure on how many of your vendors ate. That would only get you to about 90 servings. Then lets say you had 5 guest that went back for seconds which is typical if there was still food available. And you mentioned we did pack up boxes for you and your groom so I would say we were dead on the 100 that you paid for. I do wish you would have reached out so I could explain this to you so you would have a better understanding on what actually took place. I am glad you were happy with everything else that we did you for you guys. If you have any questions please do hesitatie to reach out personally”

“I have finally been able to try Yummy Buffet and was absolutely surprised. The food was great, and everything was fresh. I was a little afraid after reading some of the comments and going there late on a Saturday, but I was impressed. The restuarant is very clean, and the renovations are nice improvements. The sushi was amazing and made fresh constantly. I will definitely be back and bring some friends.”
