“The name says it all. We walked in as soon as they opened.  They were so welcoming to me and my family.  My toddler is a picky eater, but also a little flirt. The owner came over to take our order and entertained my son. Now the food was so good, my picky eating son got second helpings on mashed potatoes. I got the grilled catfish with greens and Mac&Cheese. I'm coming back and it looks like I'll bring my son too!“

“Had lunch and it was some of the best food I have eaten out in a while! I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken wings were flavorful and delicious and had me wanting more!! I had raspberry lemon drop drink that may be my new favorite drink! Wait staff was kind and courteous and eager to please! We will be back with friends!!“

“I Love Ty's Wings and Tings. It has been 6 months since I ordered Curry Chicken. Had a taste for oxtails and Ty's Wings and Tings was the first place that came to mind. The spice blend in the sauce is ON POINT. Rice and peas, collard greens and extra side of mac and cheese. The owner is so nice, he always greets with a big "How are you" and a smile. Don't forget the Cream sodas or the Ginger Beer (soda).“

“FINALLY a soul food restaurant in Tradition…and it is DELICIOUS!!! Great customer service and delicious food makes this restaurant a new favorite. I had the fried tilapia, and it was cooked perfectly. And the mac n’cheese and collard greens were sooo good!!! My husband had the baked chicken, and he ate it all! And that grape kool-aid drink and the sweet tea!! This is just what Tradition has been missing. Can’t wait until our next visit!“

“Oh. My. Word. This was my first visit to Floyd's but it most certainly won't be my last. The service was GRADE A. The food was hot and fresh. Fried in clean grease. The cornbread made me dance! We enjoyed the whiting, shrimp, beef ribs, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cabbage. I have NO complaints. Add Floyd's into your rotation. Thank y'all- we will be back!“

“Lord. Where do I start? I noticed that there was a bit of a wait for certain menu items so I ordered the items that could be made the quickest. I had the Soul Leg along with three cakes - red velvet, yellow cake with chocolate icing and pound cake. Every single item was delicious. This is what I want when I’m craving soul food. The collard greens were seasoned to perfection and had very little stems. The mac and cheese was flavorful, rich and cheesy. The dressing wasn’t overly seasoned with sage (like other dressings I’ve had) and it was moist but not too runny or dry. It appeared that the sides were sprinkled with a sweet drizzle. The turkey leg tasted as though it was marinated, smoked then baked. It was incredibly tasty and tender. I think it’s probably the best smoked turkey leg I’ve ever eaten. I’m incredibly picky when it comes to soul food but this food checked all of my boxes. I visit Charlotte bi-monthly and this place has officially become my favorite soul food stop.
