“My girlfriend and I had a great experience dining in. The restaurant was so busy but the staff handled it like a champ! The manager Rodney, stepped in to help his employee Milan when she was busy helping a large party. He helped get our drinks ordered until she could come around and help. Despite them being super busy we didn’t wait long, and were consistently being checked on and made sure we were comfortable. My third time dining at this location and we will definitely return! We recommend the Honey Chicken, Wonton Soup, and the worlds best Lettuce Wraps obviously.“

“I always go to this place when I’m in town visiting family!
It’s the best Mei fun I’ve ever been able to find and that’s always my go to Asian food. I order it every time sometimes I get it with chicken sometimes I get it with beef, but regardless of how I have it done it is always amazing! My favorite is to get it with tofu, but that is a three dollar extra charge so generally I don’t get it with tofu. That would be my only complaint about this place is that it’s three dollars extra to have tofu instead of chicken, which seems crazy to me, but it was explained to me that they don’t use it as much so they pay more for it. I also really love the pork dumplings! I would love if they added more dim sum to their menu cause that would be absolutely incredible for me lol. I believe it’s family owned and it’s just a really great place.“

I bought the approx $11 10 piece butterfly shrimp with fried rice and hot oil.

Rice tastes fairly bland in my opinion, but I like food extra seasoned to take that into consideration.

Hot oil tastes quite underwhelming, but it makes the much rice better so I get it. The butterfly shrimp is fantastic. I also heard good things about their donuts and rolls.

Portion size is very good for the price. Overall I would recommend if you want a cheaper way to eat a lot of food.“

“Our go to for Chinese in the area!! My all time fav dish is the chicken and vegetables with garlic sauce - you have to try it! I haven’t had a single thing I haven’t liked, and have found customer service to be fantastic and the staff to be friendly. Although very busy at times, they still greet you with a smile when you come up to the window.“

“Chu's in Eastchester in High Point makes the BEST hot and sour soup. They are the only place that puts chicken in it. That makes a huge difference. Their noodles are better than anyone else's also. The chicken wings are top notch also, so much flavor.“

“This restaurant used to be our favorite. Since the new owners came, everything has gone down hill. The egg rolls are smaller and filled with more rice than anything else. The fried rice is just tan rice with nothing else added. Any dish that is served with vegetables, now expect the veggies to be served raw - uncooked with a sauce over them. The thinly sliced chicken has a lot of fat and gristle. Even the hot tea (overpriced) has a different taste. The last 2 times I ordered the Egg Fu Yung - I was really sick afterwards. If I ever go back I will just order noodle soup with no vegetables or chicken. The waitresses are very nice but I worry about what goes on in the kitchen. Their sanitary rating is low so the kitchen can't be too clean. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that we will be trying.“

“My other go to Chinese restaurants when my favorite one, China City on National Highway is closed on Monday but this location is also good! They both have very good grub! Actually are the only 2 Chinese restaurants I eat at now for several reasons. But the main reason is the pork fried rice is great at both locations and when I order my usual General Tso chicken its all the way cooked an the chicken is a little crunchy and not soggy like some other restaurants. I dont like the chicken when its soggy like its been sitting on the buffet it gets soggy an no crunch! So these 2 have the good egg rolls and crispy General Tso combos and are hands down the best 2 in town!“

“I have gone here for years and know plenty people who have too. Everyone loves this place. It seems as though reviews for even the best places in town always have a few that give rotten reviews. I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant and I could overlook one time, if I did. Overall, I still think this place is excellent.“

“While on vacation with family, we decided to order Chinese food, and overall, this was the best I’ve had in a long time. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the flavors were spot on. The only real disappointment was the crab Rangoon, it lacked flavor completely, and unfortunately, we ended up tossing both orders.

One thing I would suggest is packaging the fried chicken separately. Ours was placed with other items, which made it soggy by the time it arrived. Also, I ordered a 2-liter soda but was given four small cans instead, which isn’t quite the same amount that part felt a bit misleading.

Despite those few issues, the rest of the food was delicious, and we’d still consider ordering again if we’re in the area.“

“Decent. Was expecting better tasting dishes based on the other reviews. Not bad though. Was easy to call and order fast, and was ready when I arrived. Prices are reasonable. Overall, nothing great yet nothing to complain about. Except for the fried noodles were k8nd of , mehh. Sweet and sour chicken was not crispy at all , the sauce was good though. Egg rolls and rice were good.“

“I ordered the beef lo mein, and as the store name implies, it "taste good".
I called in my order and arrived about 10 mins after, I was quoted an oddly specific time of 7 mins. However, when I arrived I waited about 10 more mins for the food. That being said, it was fresh so I'm not complaining.
The lobby isn't what you would call inviting or necessarily clean. The menu is old printed paper with typos but they also have the classic menu at the counter. See attached pics.
They do try to distract you from the 90 health rating with a decoration hanging in front of it.“

“I ordered through DoorDash, the food was still hot upon arrival. I ordered chicken wings with shrimp lo mein, the lo mein was very good and flavorful. I rate it 4 stars because the chicken was a little salty other than that everything was good I would definitely order again. My new Chinese restaurant before I was driving 15-20 minutes to the north side of town to get food.“

“This place was disgusting, not being dramatic. Noodles tasted like they cooked it with something burnt, broccoli tasted like lemon, white rice tasted soapy, and my jaws hurt chewing the orange chicken so long. I ended up giving it to my cat… my cat died“

“FANTASTIC We’ve been to many Asian and sushi restaurants, this is one of the absolute best meals we’ve had. The dumplings were phenomenal! The wrappers were thin, perfectly crisped and full of flavor. The pad Thai, drunken noodles and sushi were top notch. The hibachi chicken was absolutely the best we’ve ever had. “I moved from NY so I’ve been spoiled in my Chinese food but China City is true to their “NY Style”. We have consistently ordered from them over the past 4 years and they’ve never disappointed. They don’t have a few NY items due to lack of demand but everything else has been good, and trust me when I say we have worked our way through the menu. I’m admittedly not a fan of the hot and sour soup, although I am very particular to it so to each their own. The brown gravy is peanut infused, different from what I’m used to from NY, but I’ve gotten used to it. Whenever we have NY guests we always order the steamed dumplings and they get wiped out immediately- best item on the menu!“

“I've heard never to get gas station sushi but not anything about hibachi so I caved and finally tried it. I was pleasantly surprised; it was pretty good with very good flavors. This may not be a go to for favorite hibachi place but definitely a pinch hitter when the craving hits and there's no time to go 30 minutes away. If you gotta get gas anyway and are craving hibachi, give these folks a try. You will be pleasantly surprised too! :)“

“Is this fantastic Chinese food? No. Is this reliably decent Chinese food, buffet style, for a fair price? Absolutely. I've only gone for dine-in so can't speak to their takeout. Good sweet and sour chicken, Chinese and American appetizers, lo mein, butter shrimp... Nothing was terrible, the wait staff is good about filling drinks, and they keep the pans refreshed consistently. Give it a try! And don't forget to look up, the ceiling is super cool.“

“They do such a good job here! I walked in on Christmas day and ordered a pint of pork lo mean, pint of House Fried Rice, Steamed Dumplings, and a Spring Roll. Paid cash, sat down and waited. It took about 40 minutes, I didn't anticipate the amount of call aheads and 3rd party delivery service orders. They were so nice when I asked how much longer, nearly done she said, 5 minutes later I was out tge door. I got home, not only was my order 109% correct, there was even an extra Spring Roll! “I ordered takeout from China Rose on a rainy Sunday afternoon and was seriously impressed. The packaging alone stood out — everything arrived in a thermal bag and was packed perfectly.

The food was excellent and tasted just like we were dining in the restaurant. Everything was very fresh and still hot. Our order included two sesame chickens, General Tso’s chicken, all with fried rice, plus pork rolls, wonton soup, and crab rangoon. Every single item was amazing — no misses at all.
