“I hadn't been back to the Pelican in over a decade before popping in this Christmas Day. It's a rough day for my family and we couldn't have asked for a kinder, sweeter, or friendlier group of locals. The Pelican family went out if it's way to make us feel loved and welcome, to the point of tears. It's a memory that will stay in my mind as among the truest examples of the Christmas spirit I have ever experienced. Thank you 💚“

“Very unique atmosphere, great vibes. Came here 7.5 years ago and made a sort of life-changing, pivotal, whim-decision in this bar while drunk (don’t normally recommend doing that, but it worked out for the better, for me!), so I had to come back and visit again.“

“The Wisp totally blew me away! The cocktail was chef’s kiss, perfectly mixed by a super knowledgeable bartender Will! And the pizza? Unreal. Easily the best I’ve had. Bonus points for the sunset views over the marina. This spot is a whole vibe, don’t miss it!“

No food which I think is smart, you can bring whatever you want and hang out outside or Doordash something to yourself. I also love picking the songs on my phone 📱
If you're staying at the Wingate by Wyndham hotel in Southport, I recommend walking over and getting a cold one. They're open from 2-2, how cool is that? 😎“

“Our shrimp feast was fabulous! My favorite was the peel and eat and the coconut shrimp was a close second. Phyllis' shrimp cocktail was also awesome. Easy boat parking and friendly, fast service from Amber with lots of drink refills. Highly recommend!“

Staff was friendly and accommodating. View was great. And parking was free.
The end of the pier is in disrepair, but there is still plenty to hang out on.

“Lived in the area for almost a year and did not know the restaurant was there. I had discovered it as I passed by and decided to try it. was not disappointed fast seating on a Saturday night excellent service by Amber and very good food. several staff checked on me during the visit. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Will be there more often.“

“By far the best bar around. They have an over the top staff from the bartenders to the bouncers. Oh, and there was this wicked talented kareoke dj that hosts karaoke 7 says a week. Kareoke can be such a scary experience but with how nice she was, it made it so much easier! I think her name is Veronica? Maybe Valerie but I think I just remebr that because it was sung that night 🤷♂️There was another bar that also happened to be doing kareoke that night and it was an absolutely horrible experience. But we found silver dollar and instantly fell in love. If I could give this place more stars and apprasil, I would 10/10! Such an amazing evexperience especially with the roof top bar and the view over the boardwalk and fireworks! We will be back to this bar everything we visit CB again!“
