“Just a walk up hole in the wall. The two servers that were working were very helpful and extremely personable. We had the butter pecan ice cream and the blueberry cheesecake ice cream. Both were delicious. We then could not resist the funnel cake that they drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter sauce and topped with whipped cream! A definite must go!!“

“American Fish Co. is such a fun and scenic spot in Southport! The views over the water are absolutely stunning—especially at sunset—and the live music while we were there made the whole evening even better.

My daughter and her husband really enjoyed the drinks (they said the cocktails were fantastic!), and even though I’m not much of a drinker myself, I loved the atmosphere and the relaxing coastal vibe.

It’s a great place to bring visitors or just unwind after a long day. Definitely one of Southport’s gems!“

“We've been to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk so many times but never stopped in to try the gelato. SO glad I stopped in this time. The young lady working the counter was so friendly, she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. The store is bright and clean, they have items/souvenirs for sale. The gelato is beautifully displayed and the flavors are clearly marked. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options. I chose the chocolate oreo for myself and the sugar-free strawberry cream for my husband. I was taking the gelato back to our rental unit, so she offered full-size spoons or tasting-size spoons and napkins, and asked if I needed an insulated bag. The gelato was smooth, creamy and delicious. We will definitely stop back in again on our next trip to CB.“

“My husband and I were celebrating our 18th year anniversary and we randomly picked this restaurant because it was close to the house. We were not disappointed. When we got there we had to wait a bit for our table but had so much fen meeting and chatting with the hostess and one of the waitresses. I forgot how nice the people of NC are considering we come from DC and the service was TOP NOTCH. They were out of mozzarella sticks that night but we got the bang bang shrimp and it was delicious. The Pear Martinis were delicious and refreshing. Not sure if I remembered the waitress’s name but she was fun inviting and on her A game. When we left the waitress gave us a card and when I got home and opened it was so touched by the fact that everyone had signed it. Needless to say we closed out the place that night and the following night went back because the experience was so nice. The next night they remembered us and we known as the favorite couple. Made our weekend special. The girls and staff and amazing.“

“I was in Carolina beach for a business trip and stumbled upon Malama for breakfast. All I can say is WOW! The best coffee I have ever had and I'm a coffee snob. LOL. I also had the avocado toast and it was the bomb!! Now if I can just convince them to open a store here in Charlotte NC.“

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. “We live locally so we come here A LOT, especially in the off season. Off-season this is the place to be because they do pumpkin patches for the kiddos and a Christmas Tree lot. On-season the quality of food/service is still there and their kid-friendliness keeps us coming back, especially the sturdy baby changing stations and the wide variety of high chairs available for low tables and high tables. All in all we are impressed and pleased with the changes. When we come to eat we LOVE the BABLT and the Burger.“

The only issue we had was that there was no waiting area that was comfortable. They have benches out front but the sun made it too hot to sit there and there is no waiting area inside the restaurant.“

“Pier under construction and repair, so Tiki Bar is closed. However, the High Tide lounge was open and serving drinks and had minimal food offerings. Burger, Mahi sandwich, hot dogs with gourmet toppings, and a few appetizers. No fryer, so a bag of chips, as a side, is the only option. Mahi was excellent, thick cut made for a meaty sandwich.“

“Haven’t been able to stop by here in a long time - probably two years at least. Nothing has changed in the best way possible. Phenomenal coffee, warm and welcoming staff, comfy place to hang out, and there is cool art work, jewelry, and other items for sale. The owner is behind the counter regularly. She is kind, and funny, and she makes the best coffee I’ve had in NC. Highly recommend!“
