This place is inside a Walmart shopping center although you’d swear you were downtown somewhere in the mid 90s once inside which was one of my favorite things about it. The owner was manning the grill himself like it should be turning out orders every few minutes! My lunch consisted of Bacon Cheeseburger and chili cheese fries, the burger was very filling I’d guess 1/4LB or so it didn’t have as much smash/sear as I’d typically prefer but is a great burger nonetheless and the chili cheese fries were amazing! Eric has built an awesome business, greeting customers by name, definitely worth trying if you’re in the Southport/Oak Island Area!!!“

“We've been to the Carolina Beach Boardwalk so many times but never stopped in to try the gelato. SO glad I stopped in this time. The young lady working the counter was so friendly, she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. The store is bright and clean, they have items/souvenirs for sale. The gelato is beautifully displayed and the flavors are clearly marked. They offer gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options. I chose the chocolate oreo for myself and the sugar-free strawberry cream for my husband. I was taking the gelato back to our rental unit, so she offered full-size spoons or tasting-size spoons and napkins, and asked if I needed an insulated bag. The gelato was smooth, creamy and delicious. We will definitely stop back in again on our next trip to CB.“

“American Fish Co. is such a fun and scenic spot in Southport! The views over the water are absolutely stunning—especially at sunset—and the live music while we were there made the whole evening even better.

My daughter and her husband really enjoyed the drinks (they said the cocktails were fantastic!), and even though I’m not much of a drinker myself, I loved the atmosphere and the relaxing coastal vibe.

It’s a great place to bring visitors or just unwind after a long day. Definitely one of Southport’s gems!“

When we got there we had to wait a bit for our table but had so much fen meeting and chatting with the hostess and one of the waitresses. I forgot how nice the people of NC are considering we come from DC and the service was TOP NOTCH. They were out of mozzarella sticks that night but we got the bang bang shrimp and it was delicious. The Pear Martinis were delicious and refreshing. Not sure if I remembered the waitress’s name but she was fun inviting and on her A game. When we left the waitress gave us a card and when I got home and opened it was so touched by the fact that everyone had signed it. Needless to say we closed out the place that night and the following night went back because the experience was so nice. The next night they remembered us and we known as the favorite couple. Made our weekend special. The girls and staff and amazing.“

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!“

“We live locally so we come here A LOT, especially in the off season. Off-season this is the place to be because they do pumpkin patches for the kiddos and a Christmas Tree lot. On-season the quality of food/service is still there and their kid-friendliness keeps us coming back, especially the sturdy baby changing stations and the wide variety of high chairs available for low tables and high tables. All in all we are impressed and pleased with the changes. When we come to eat we LOVE the BABLT and the Burger.“

Staff was friendly and accommodating. View was great. And parking was free.
The end of the pier is in disrepair, but there is still plenty to hang out on.

Phenomenal coffee, warm and welcoming staff, comfy place to hang out, and there is cool art work, jewelry, and other items for sale. The owner is behind the counter regularly. She is kind, and funny, and she makes the best coffee I’ve had in NC. Highly recommend!“

“We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ports of Call Bistro in downtown Southport! From the moment we walked in, Carol greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Liam, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu—truly top-notch service. We started with the artichoke hearts appetizer, which was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For our mains, we enjoyed the seafood pot pie and the steak and mushroom pasta. Both dishes were phenomenal—the seafood pot pie was rich, comforting, and brimming with fresh seafood, while the steak and mushroom pasta was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A special touch was when the executive chef personally came to our table to check on our experience and chat with us. That level of care made the evening feel even more special. Between the inviting atmosphere, the exceptional service, and the outstanding food, Ports of Call Bistro has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Southport. Highly recommend!“

“This gem of a taco place happened to be right down the road from our Airbnb. Everything we ordered came super fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Had a large list of restaurants to try while in Carolina beach for 5 days but had to make a second stop at Nollie’s. Spicy margs and the mahi mahi tacos were so good! My wife loved the “Full Monty” with different queso and salsa/pico dips and chips. Loved everything about this place!“
