The fish was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Beyond the superb food and service, the atmosphere truly stood out. We had an amazing view of the marina and the sunset, which made the experience even more special. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!“

“My husband and I stopped in yesterday for a beer. We totally enjoyed our time spent there. We were in town on vacation and the workers made us feel very welcome. We met several people and enjoyed more than the one beer we had planned to get. This place is awesome, with lots of draft beer, cans and bottles, different wines, and delicious coffee. I didn't try the coffee but a couple different customers said it was great. If we make it back to this area on another vacation you can bet we'll be found there. Highly reccomend!“

“Had a reservation for a beach bonfire, but Kim contacted us early in the day that beach nourishment had changed the usual vibe. She was so kind to call, sent a photo of current conditions, and gave us the option to cancel. We did cancel the bonfire but we went for drinks and apps. What a great vibe! The lounge was decorated for the holidays in the best way, fun music, fantastic bartenders, and a lovely view. The new cocktails were delicious- between the 6 of us we tried most of them! And the carnitas nachos were perfect. Our group was really happy we went & we will definitely be back.“

“The vibes are definitely worth it if you’re coming to CB for the sleepy beach town vibes. Drinks are great and service was super friendly! Food options are great for a quick bite. Rated noise only for the wave noise but can definitely still have a conversation.“

“We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Ports of Call Bistro in downtown Southport! From the moment we walked in, Carol greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. Liam, our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu—truly top-notch service. We started with the artichoke hearts appetizer, which was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. For our mains, we enjoyed the seafood pot pie and the steak and mushroom pasta. Both dishes were phenomenal—the seafood pot pie was rich, comforting, and brimming with fresh seafood, while the steak and mushroom pasta was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. A special touch was when the executive chef personally came to our table to check on our experience and chat with us. That level of care made the evening feel even more special. Between the inviting atmosphere, the exceptional service, and the outstanding food, Ports of Call Bistro has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Southport. Highly recommend!“

“I’ve visited Majik Beanz several times over the past five years and love the local vibe and its convenient location. But the downside of many local coffee cafes is staff not having or not following proven recipes. With MB I have found a couple of times a staff member was either clueless or free-styled their chai latte recipe with the end result being an undrinkable beverage. I love supporting locally owned coffee shops and will visit MB again but please train all new staff members on recipes.“

“Visited Ocean Grill & Tiki Bar and it ended up being one of my favorite spots on the trip. The location alone makes it worth going, right by the water with a really relaxed beach vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, feel the breeze, and just take your time enjoying the food without feeling rushed.

The atmosphere is very laid back and tropical, with the tiki bar style setup and outdoor seating that gives you a great view while you eat. It feels more like a vacation spot than a regular restaurant. We went around sunset and the view made the whole experience even better.

Food was really good, especially the seafood. Everything tasted fresh and cooked right, not greasy or overdone. The grilled fish and shrimp were some of the best things we ordered, and the portions were good size. You can tell they focus on simple food done right. Drinks were also solid, the frozen drinks and cocktails fit the tiki bar vibe perfectly.

Service was friendly and easygoing. Even though the place was busy, the staff kept up with everything and made sure we had what we needed. Nobody rushed us, which I liked, it felt like a place where you’re supposed to relax and enjoy being there.

Prices were about what you’d expect for a waterfront restaurant, a little higher than normal but worth it for the view, atmosphere, and quality of the food.

Overall, Ocean Grill & Tiki Bar is a great spot if you want good seafood, cold drinks, and a nice view all in one place. Definitely somewhere I would go back to if I’m in the area again.“

“This gem of a taco place happened to be right down the road from our Airbnb. Everything we ordered came super fast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Had a large list of restaurants to try while in Carolina beach for 5 days but had to make a second stop at Nollie’s. Spicy margs and the mahi mahi tacos were so good! My wife loved the “Full Monty” with different queso and salsa/pico dips and chips. Loved everything about this place!“

“This Shop is my happy place almost every day! Love the chocolate frosted & maple donuts. Especially ! & the Great always -hot coffee !! Been going there for over 20 years . It keeps getting better ! & -The cheerful, super helpful & Quick staff are always terrific . & It is a very demanding whipping up so many orders so fast . They really make it a happy occurrence. They care about getting stuff right ! I take friends & associates there a lot . The remodel is beautiful - though I was sad about the fewer tables .

Pleasant: The current manager Cassidy goes above & beyond always & is a real professional & cares about the business . There was previously an ex-military man that was also very proficient . Meghan & Jackie are a dream team & make my favorite hangout A joy to be at in the morning . Whether just the takeout or inside. Both always smiling & personable with high standards of service. They never miss a beat! & are on their best game always . It is truly amazing !! Jeremiah is a summer server on his way to college . The smile !! The charm . He, also though so young, is professional & Caring. Honestly many of the restaurants - even high priced here - are short on excellent servers . It is very disappointing. Being at this Dunkin so often I see the team delivers the same level of friendly, caring FAST service consistently to all customers . Will have to add more names to another post - like Zane &
Others . It is truly a tough gig & I’m
