“We stopped in for a night cap.Late night amd there was a wedding going on so there were not many people in the bar. Our bartender was great and made a delicious long island. We chatted with him and the other bartender about bourbon and moonshine and weddings and the shark sightin at Lake Lure earlier that must have occurred why else would they shut the beach at 6??? Ha haGreat time“
“We really enjoyed our weekend at Rumbling Bald. It was so nice to have the club house open during off season and also open to the public. The restaurant is a great size and I know it's crazy during season with that patio! Danielle and Collene were excellent at taking care of us. We really appreciated their service. We will be back.“
“Very nice casual restaurant on the water near the Chimney Rock State Park. Wait staff was great. Ian gave us a suggestion for a great place to hike. Gift store staff were also super helpful in suggesting a historic place to visit. We had the Hillbilly fries, and they were covered in pulled pork, bacon, and cheese. Delicious! We shared a turkey sandwich. It was also fantastic. Great lunch stop.“
“This place is great food and service was top notch we were a party of 4 was seated quick our server Martie was right on top of everything. The food was served quickly and hot and was soooo good . The whole staff are great. We will be back.“
“Views from their front deck are great. The portions are massive! Not only that, they are actually really tasty. Just what you need after a long day of exploring the Lake Lure area. My fiancé left her purse on the deck and we decided to move inside after it got windy. Not only did the staff pick up her purse not realizing that we were still there, they locked it up in either a safe or a secure closet. Places like this- that make all of their customers feel like family -are why I love to do reviews. I hope we make our way back to the Lake Lure area, and when we do we will definitely come back to La Strada!“
