“I can’t say enough about my incredible experience at Mexicali Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, I was met with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
The service was absolutely outstanding. Brithney and Stefanie went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. They were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
Now, onto the food—wow! I started with the guacamole, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The sopes were an absolute highlight: crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and topped with the most delicious ingredients. A pitcher of margaritas was the perfect pairing—refreshing, tangy, and just the right amount of kick. To top it all off, the flan was the grand finale I didn’t know I needed: creamy, silky, and a perfect blend of sweetness to end the meal on a high note.
Mexicali Restaurant delivers not just incredible food but an exceptional dining experience, thanks to amazing servers like Brithney and Stefanie. I’ll definitely be back soon and recommending this spot to everyone I know!“

“Had a misunderstanding with a to go order and came into the restaurant and instantly felt better about it. The manager Amari apologized for the misunderstanding and got me right! Excellent customer service from her. “I came in to try their version of Pollo fritto- fried chicken. This chicken was well marinated- fried to perfection and the sauces- 1 avocado salsa and 1 salsa picante were heavenly 😋 they underestimated me as they were unaware I am fluent in Spanish so I quickly changed the interaction ordering my food in Spanish and we both smiled and chatted while I waited for my food. This place is so welcoming and warm with great authentic dishes and I love the fact they make tortillas from scratch! The taste is so much better and natural!“

“I have traveled the whole USA hands down this is the best Mexican food I have tasted. Green sauce had perfect flavor just everything I ate was perfect. “Tacos el trompo make the best burritos in town. This is a go to for my family when we are shopping at the mall. The burritos are so big we slip them in half and share with my whole family. This is something I would order for dinner to feed my family. They have fast service and I like their salsa verde with my burrito. They also have delicious drinks.“

“I love El Valle. Family owned. Has been in Matthews for many years. My family and I have been eating here for probably 10 years. The service is excellent. They don't have much turnover in staff so they remember us. Now that our son has moved away, they always ask how he is doing. The food is always fresh and excellent. Our order is always correct. The prices are reasonable. My favorites are Chimmichanga, Polo Adobe, Polo Especial, Fajita. I love their salsa.“

And the gordita nice and crunchy and lots of chicken grilled inside. I would definetly recommend this place . “Eduardo was at the Chef Store yesterday getting supplies. I was there too. In my haste I left my wallet in the shopping cart and drove off. Eduardo found it and his wife called me giving me the address of the food truck. I went to their location and retrieved the wallet from him this afternoon. While this review doesn't speak to their food, it says much about the integrity of the men that operate this food truck. Honesty should not be as rare as it is these days but know that it exists at Antojitos de Nagua at 6721 East Independence Blvd. I will return to try their food as soon as I get my replacement debit cards. Thank you for turning an exasperating morning into a positive tale.“

“The tamales are the 5 Star that steals the show. But the tacos dorado's and the sopes... Are delicious. If you want to remember the Veracruz seasoning come to " El Jarocho Loco ", you won't regret it. Also have tortas and tacos.“

Me and my mother came here on Valentine’s Day and it was our first time here. It’s quaint and lovely, right in the middle of Lake Park community.
