“Picked up some live soft shell crabs on the way back from OBX yesterday. Outland put them on some ice for me and got them back to Charlotte no problem. Cooked them up the next day and was the BEST soft shells I have ever had. Thanks!”

However, the smashed potatoes were excellent, offering a savory complement to the main dish as well as the fried mac and cheese. The service was exceptional; the waitress was friendly and accommodating, even going the extra mile to include a generous piece of cake to make up for the dry porkchop.The atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful, especially as I dined upstairs, which provided a refreshing change of pace and offered a unique view of a small backyard through the window. Despite the culinary misstep with the porkchop, the overall experience was pleasant, thanks to the attentive service and enjoyable ambiance. Highly recommend all their deserts.”

“Favorite brewery in the outer banks. The place is really cool, it’s right on the main road and easy to get to. Beers are all good, the head dipper is probably my favorite IPA I have ever had actually. They are also dog friendly and the back yard becomes like a dog park at times.”

Slaw was KFC style, but less sweet and lighter on the dressing, which I found to be much preferable. Service was impressive with courtesy and timeliness. We'll stop here again next year.Update: it's 2024, COVID is over, and this lil BBQ shack is still cooking up the good stuff! Once again we visited OBX & spent a rainy day at the aquarium which means we got to stop by this great spot for lunch. The folks are so friendly and accommodating if you have a request. Husband was able to give them some military patches this trip! We love the food and the people!
