“1st time there thru someone's advice. Place is very neat. For a Fri nite, place wasn't full however everyone seemed nice. Multiple tvs for sport's & they have a good DJ. The only thing that threw me for a loop was at 10 pm, two very big armed guards came in to keep the peace. There's a reason for this, and i dont need to find out. I like the place, and it could be the owners are just being cautious, but im out.“
“While in Mint Hill we were looking for a spot the locals may go for a nice beer and proper bar food. After checking out different reviews in the area we stumbled upon the spot! We had their hot wings, the Hilly Cheesesteak with a side of chips, and $5 Carolina draft beers. Exactly what we were looking for! The service was great. Definitely check it out! We will be back when we are in the area!“
“Went here yesterday (first time) for a 60th birthday party. Loved the place!!! We had the upstairs balcony and Claudia was our server. “First time at Boardwalks and we couldn’t have had a better experience! Sam S. was an exceptional server! She was attentive and was on top of everything. As for the food…I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed taters and the Mac n cheese. That chicken was the best I ever had! My hubby had a dozen oysters and the steampot and he was pleased! The prices are quite reasonable for the dishes and there was hardly a wait on our dishes. We enjoyed every minute of our dinner!“
“Yesterday, which was Sunday April, the seventh I was seated onthe outside where I wanted to be seated, waited on the server for about 10 minutes. Then The server showed up to take my order ,Wait a minute, wait till my food in my drink. I was finished with my food. I needed some more drink. I wasn't check on to see if I needed anything elseSo she came out. And said I'll be right back. I got my check quicker. Than I got my service. They had an amazing beer selection and a super friendly and accommodating staff. They steered me towards a watermelon sour- so good!!! They let me try a few things! Definitely want to go back and try other beers and the food!“
“This is a really good neighborhood bar. We came for a weekend trip to Charlotte and came here twice. Once on Friday afternoon where it was very chill and not busy. We sat outside for about 3 hours. The outside seating was great, our server was attentive, and the area is pretty quiet for a nice afternoon beer.On the complete opposite side, we also came for Sunday football. It was PACKED. Even though we arrived 30 min before the start time of any game it was standing room only. If you need to find parking because the Ed’s lot is only medium sized you can go to the food lion and park in the back row, they generally don’t care. The dry cleaning lady will yell at you and force you to move. Every TV is labeled with the game it’s playing. Our server was super attentive, especially considering the amount of people. They even had bud light specials going on.Food wise I tried the Philly cheese steak egg rolls which were surprisingly good. I stuck with diet cokes but my husband REALLY loved the seasonal “gordgeous” pumpkin beer. Also side note that the women’s bathrooms were very clean and not dingy or grungy at all. A definite plus for a bar!Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. It does get super loud on Sunday so if that’s not your vibe, come on a different day.“
“This was right around the corner from our hotel so we hopped over after we checked in. We ordered the Lil Smokies and YUM! They’re battered in sweet potato batter and had some cinnamon on them - they were so good! I’m a sucker for sweet and salty! We also split a burger and it was really good too. The atmosphere is fun and a sports bar. They had 80s throwback on and music videos to match which was fun. The service was also great here. I’d highly recommend!“
“I love this neighborhood pub. Friendly service, great wings, amazing prices and a warm & friendly environment. We come here often. Standard pub fare - wings, burgers, flatbreads, appetizers, etc. we love the wings. The tater tots and onion rings and fries are all crispy and delicious. A great spot to watch sports. Don't come if Alabama is playing football. They were slammed busy today at 5pm due to basketball and the service didn't suffer for it. The place was full plus a birthday party and UNC game followed by a NC State game and staff rocked it. Bravo!“
