Beware if you go with a party of six or more. Southern Salt was our restaurant to entertain our guests. We received great service when there were only a few of us. If there’s six or more at your table, regardless if each person is on their own ticket, they hit you with a high gratuity. I can survive paying a high gratuity but when the waitstaff neglects your table because they know they’re making $100 anyway, I have a problem. I do not recommend because we had to ask multiple times for refills, hush puppies and other stuff that we were suppose to have gotten with our orders. ordered 3 cheeseburgers no alcohol beverages, no desserts and 1 appetizer and bill was over 90.00. The food was not great, service sucked so will not recommend to anyone. i'll stick to El's drive in if I want a burger!
I would not recommend this restaurant to a starving homeless person or my worst enemy! The shrimp used for the stuffed shrimp was spoiled, two orders were placed for the stuffed shrimp, only one was removed from the bill. Hush puppies are apparently supposed to be provided, none were offered. The waitress was great. The manager didn't even inspect the nasty shrimp. The Caesar Salad was soggy to include the croutons.
