“We love this Smoothie King and stop by pretty frequently. The team is friendly and knowledgeable—and they generally can make any smoothie you have in your imagination. Note that the menu posted at the restaurant is more limited than the one on their app/online but they can make any that are listed on the website as well.
We like the Blueberry Heaven, Banana Berry Treat and Island Impact.
The ones with multiple juices in them are pretty sweet, but they allow substitutions and we’ve found we usually can tone down the sweetness with some substitutes.
The app is worth getting—comes with a coupon and then you can accumulate points toward future free smoothies.
Lastly, will say the service has been excellent every time we’ve been—everyone in there is on the move and very friendly. Even when we’ve waited in line behind a few folks, we’re always in and out in <10mins.“

Even though I like to experiment once in awhile- My absolutely favorite is the strawberry ice milk all mixed together with strawberry popping Boba...Sooo good! It's like drinking a strawberry milkshake. My boyfriend likes to be a little braver and try different kinds when he gets one- he likes more of the fruit Boba and has tried a few varieties. Definitely would be back, maybe more than I need to 😂😂 but it's definitely worth it.“

“We had a wonderful morning at Java Jive. We got breakfast pastries, coffee, and iced tea and spent a few hours working. It did get a bit noisy with a few groups meeting and talking, but that is not abnormal for coffee shops. It is relatively small, with small tables for 2 people and a single round table that seats up to 4. The coffee and pastry was good, and they have art for sale on the walls.“

“I am doing this review on behalf of Jaden anytime you go to get a bowl made from this tropical smoothie and Jaden is in that store. You better know he will not miss the bowls are absolutely amazing. They are beautiful. They are perfect. He always make sure he puts enough fruit in. I’m one of the ones that ask for extra fruit when I come in he gives me exactly what I am looking for every single time and I’ve been going here for a while, everyone else not to take away from them and what they do, but they have missed the mark on different occasions for me. They are not always consistent sometimes it’ll be too much granola sometimes it won’t be enough fruit. Sometimes everything will be frozen and so you can’t eat it at that time you would have to wait for it to thaw out But not with Jaden I don’t know what he does to make them so magnificent so amazing I do believe in giving someone their flowers. I just called the store to speak with a manager to also allow the manager to know how consistent this young man is every time I walk into that store or every time I send my son to get a bowl as well, and my son also agrees with me that this young man and I normally leave a tip for him personally every time I come he’s absolutely amazing when it comes to making a bowl thank you so very much tropical smoothie on crossroads Boulevard for hiring Mr. Jaden thank you Jaden. “I'm so glad this place came to Durham. Super convenient location. Extremely excellent customer service. Their coffee is better than Starbucks and cheaper than Starbucks. Do you want drip? They've got it. Do you want a coffee drink? They've got it. They've got non-coffee choices as well. It's a drive-thru, and I've never had to wait between ordering or picking up. Very fast.“

“Came here today for a smoothie, the employees were very nice and friendly there was one girl with red hair that was helping me she was extremely friendly and professional! They had everything down looked like a lot of teenagers were running the store while waiting for my smoothie I witnessed a difficult customer get loud and rude with an employee I was impressed by the way this young lady handled the customer!
