I had a great experience at Mount Holly Grill. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor — you can tell they put care into every dish. The service was just as impressive: friendly, fast, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is laid-back and comfortable, making it a perfect spot whether you’re grabbing lunch or sitting down for dinner with family and friends.

“Our first visit was today. The food was amazing and the Manager that was working the afternoon was amazing. The Manager stepped up and came our waitress she filled our drinks and brought our bill. Our Waitress we had was horrible she never once refilled our drinks. She only took our order and delivered it to us. We did leave a tip which should go to the Manager. We will visit again just hope we have a different waitress.“

“Visiting Charlotte from New Hampshire, but had scouted out this place before we came. Interestingly enough, it appeared on the list of recommended places from our Airbnb hosts as well. We are very into the farm to table movement, big time Farmers market shoppers ourselves as well. The staff was very friendly, and more importantly, knowledgeable about the menu. Everything was excellent. They were very helpful in accommodating a honey allergy, even whipping up an alternative dressing for the salad we ordered. For the record, the kale salad we had was beyond exceptional. I am not exaggerating when I say that is was the best salad I have eaten in my 65 years! Recommended unconditionally. A must-stop for our next trip to Charlotte.“

“The vibe here is amazing! I love a double entendre so walking in to see a sign that says “meat here” with a giant arrow instantly gives me the giggles! The multicolored decor and cool artwork made it hard to do anything but keep smiling. As soon as we’re seated our waitress says “I love your earring and all your jewlery” and I was smitten. I took my jacket off right as she was brining our food. “I love your tattoos” she says and I’m falling in love with this place. The cheesin steak sandwich is smothered in cheese, the wings are crispy, our appetizers came out fast and hot, and the atmosphere was great. I was having such a good time I didn’t even mind the watered down, chunkless blu cheese. You won’t either I promise! My husband and friends notified the waitress it was my 29th birthday to which she replied “29 would have never guessed your 29!” and I’m a little shocked. The thing is it was 13th 29th birthday so I reply “ and how old did you think I was?” I’m expecting a 35 or 36…. She says “24!” I laughed so much and said “I’m actually 42” and it was her turn to be shocked. “The sourdough melt with grilled onions, mushrooms, and real cheddar cheese is to die for. Even better than a butter burger. Double meat takes it up that much more. The chocolate custard is also delicious. Better than anyone else's fast food ice-cream, including Dairy Queen.“

The breakfast selection was great with just the right amount of modern and country favorites mixed together for a selection to satisfy every palate.

The grits were cooked to perfection, the eggs were nice and hot, and the turkey sausage was flavorful. For a special treat rye bread was offered and I was all in.

The atmosphere is cozy but can accommodate any size group (up to capacity). It was the right amount of seat selection for those desiring sun (me) to those who wanted total isolation and I loved this!

Rhe seating was well thought out not tight and the noise level was not evasive and allowed good conversation.

“First, very large outdoor and indoor seating available. Over 50 or so brews on tap, as well as wine and liquor options. I had the steak burger with jalapeño slaw, which was ok. Burger was thin but tasty. Slaw wasn't any slaw I've ever seen, kinda dry. Overall, it's a better place to get a brew than food, in my opinion. Would definitely go back.“

I enjoy my hot off the grill Cheesesteak today at “Chucks Cheesesteak.” I won’t say it’s the best in CLT but it’s relatively good. It’s definitely a good steak sandwich on your day off. Yes, you need to walk this off until you release. The Food Truck scared me a bit, but I watched him while he prepared the food and he has a Grade A placard. It’s definitely not rushed so, get your car washed while your steak is freshly made.“
